Dear Heart & Soul, The clocks have taken a one hour step backwards, night time is flexing its hefty muscle, while the temperature drops to crispy cold. If that thought brings you the
approaching-winter-blues, fear not, as the heave-ho of our travelling musical jig saw will generate enough heat and energy to keep you warm through the deepest, darkest nights. That's right - going to our shows and listening to our music will likely save you from spending big bucks on the rising costs of fuel. Those of you in Cape Breton can start saving on a weekly basis by attending
the Retrun of Flying Horse Cabaret at Bunkers Peanut Bar in Sydney. Flying Horse Cabaret is a weekly revue taking place on Thursday nights that features a stellar display of dazzling antics, music from
The Good Ship Tommy Fun as well as special guests; all beside a cozy fireplace that we set ablaze with the seering fires of our red hot loins.
We'll be shining the light of our sonic heat lamp elsewhere in the Maritime provinces starting with a star-studded show on November 7th at George's Fabulous Roadhouse in the
marshy heart of Sackville, New Brunswick. From George's we will find our way to New Glasgow, NS where we will showcase at the Roseland Cabaret as part of Music Nova Scotia Week. The Following night we will find out the critical results of our
Vote Tom Fun campaign at the Music Nova Scotia Awards. The rest of our November activities will see us playing a benefit for
L'Arche Cape Breton at the Sydney Marine Terminal on November 13th, after which we'll island-hop to PEI where we'll goose the bums of the dancers at Hunter's Ale House (November 14th) before we ride inflatable pogo sticks to Halifax on November 15th to pay a visit to our old friend the Seahorse Tavern. We will top off the month of
N with a visit to the town that puts the ain't in saint - Saint John, NB - where we'll deliver a dose of heat to the Akhord on November 22.
As darkness falls across the land, a light will shine before you, cast from the mast of the Goodship Tommy Fun, warming the souls of everyone.
