We finished drum and bass tracking for 8 songs last week. Thanks to michael lerner from Two Sticks for all the hard work, careful listening, and just being an all around great person to work with. We'll have to track a few more tunes later to round out a full length, but it's good to have the majority of the record started.

here's a little list of some of the stuff we used:

20 inch vintage gretch bass drum
24 inch vintage gretch bass drum
22 inch DW bass drum
70's ludwig acro-lite snare drum
gretch toms (don't know the sizes)
an ass-load of paiste and zildjian cymbols

70's p-bass
hofner bass
ampeg classic tube head
fender champ

I can't wait for a new record to come out. I've been a big fan of all the stuff you've done from Twothirtyeight, your solo records/eps, and now the stuff under the Discover America moniker. I make tons of mix cds for people and your music always makes it onto them. Right now, my favorite song to share is "Shifty Eyes".

P.S. Please come back to Little Rock. I may have been one of the 10 people that saw you at Vinos (actually I was there the time before when y'all showed up too late to play), but I thought you did great and I would love for you to come back.
