I have been getting to know myself in new ways. For years I have been distracted by relationships and pseudo relationships. To get with the right mate a person has to thoroughly know themselves or they will end up with someone who meets them on a particular level and that' s it. And maybe for a lot of people that is totally fine. My advice
( to myself ) is not to get into a relationship until you are fully developed or maybe perhaps, a long shot...someone who is specifically interested in personal growth and development as part of their own life agenda.

Despite my seeming anti-biblical stance I do believe that that LIFE ( I don't like to use the term God, it is so narrow and over used) is about growth and development. I heard a great line in a song, might've even been the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens...but the line was something to the effect of... to become who we are meant to be we have to give up who we are...profound. Who I am is mearly a collection of DNA traits passed down generation to generation. Nothing to gloat about, strengths or weaknesses. I see those things, even look for them, but then decide HOW in life to apply them or withhold them. I think that is what LIFE/GOD is all about. To be alive is a gift, to really LIVE is a miracle.

I am very , very grateful to have learned this lesson. It was hard coming I'll tell you right now. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. Not for a million dollars!
