Hello
We've finally had some time to unwind after our cross-Canada tour and wanted to provide you with a quick update.
Firstly, the tour was unbelievable. For anyone that made it out to one of the shows we’d like to thank you for being part of the experience. In 26 days we played about 20 shows in such cities as Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Guelph, Brantford, Hamilton and Sault Ste. Marie. We met some amazing people and managed to soak in at least 15 minutes of culture in each city. It was also great to watch our friends The Fast Romantics peform each night too. This band is so much fun to watch live. David Cross and The Dead Weather were wonderful tour companions and made the long rides through Saskatchewan and Manitoba a little more tolerable.

We’ll try to post some photos and videos soon. In the meantime, here is some video footage from our acoustic performance of “Out Of Control” at RadioX in Quebec:

In other news, we were selected to perform at this year’s CMJ Music Marathon in New York City. This is a huge honor as bands like U2, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire and Red Hot Chili Peppers have performed at this festival in the past.
Here are our showcase details:
Saturday October 24th - 9:15pm
Fat Baby
112 Rivington St. New York, NY
We are also proud to announce that our album has been doing quite well on Canadian radio.
Our first single, Out Of Control, peaked at #60 on the Canadian Alt / Rock charts and our album is currently sitting in the top 40 album (college radio) charts for the month of September 2009.
Finally, The Straight (Vancouver) has recently written some kind words about us for their Instant Playlist feature:
“The best thing to come out of Calgary since, well, ever, Secret Broadcast proves it’s possible to make basic rock ’n’ roll actually seem interesting. Imagine Radiohead if they’d formed in the early ’80s, and you only start to get the idea.”
