1. You're originally from Montreal, do you still live there?

D: Yes. I love this city very much, and I still live here.

2. You were a part of Pulse Ultra and Rise Electric (maybe some other bands), how do you feel about those projects now?

D: Pulse Ultra was very special to me. We had our dream come true in every way in that band. Our management was Velvet Hammer, and we were the third of only 3 bands they were working with at that time. Taproot and System were the other bands. That's how we met. We did Ozzfest in 2002 with them.

3. From what I could find it appears that The Chronicles Of Israfel was a huge project of yours. I really like that debut CD. It took you a lot of time and effort to release it, right? So satisfied after all?

D: That took 3 years to finish and release I put it out online only cause I knew it was so weird that no labels would touch it. I am constantly writing for the other chapters of the series, but it takes so much energy. It'll be a while before the next one comes out.

4. How did you get into Scars and why did you decided to join them instead of continuing with Israfel?

D: The opportunity came in a weird way. Chronicles had slowed down a little as I was looking for a new bass player. My manager called me one night asking me if I knew any bass players. I asked him who it was for, and when he said Daron and John, I immediately said I would drop everything to play with them. I never "dropped" Israfel. The project was winding down and I really felt strongly about Scars' music. So the decision was easy.

5. Every fan has Daron in his mind as a very unique person, but how is working with him and knowing him personally?

D: He is a very funny, kind hearted and generous person. Always listening to music, constantly. Every genre you can think of. He is a human music library full of knowledge. He introduced me to so much music. He is a true artist.

6. What are your favorite Scars tracks to play live and what on the album?

D: Live, I love coming out and doing serious. It's brutal and when the chorus kicks in the crowd is always louder than us. Amazing. I love all the other songs too, but World Long Gone's main riff always gets me right in the gut.

7. Do you still have that beard or not an outlaw anymore?:)

D: I decided to take a little break from the beard. I love it, but it was time for a little change.

8. Now the same question that I've already asked Franky - Was it your first time here in Europe? If yes, how did you like it?

D: No, I was out in Europe with Pulse Ultra. We revisited a couple of the clubs we played back in 2003. I love Europe.

9. What was the funniest or most interesting thing you experienced with Scars?

D: Too many stories to name. John is probably one of the funniest people I've ever met. He laughs so much, and you would never know cause of his poker face.

10. What about the internet, did you look for some news, people's reactions or other stuff like that related to Scars?

D: No. Honestly, I don't read shit.

11. Finally, what comes next for you? (after this unexpected situation around Scars)

D: I will always be here ready to get back on tour with Scars. I have no clue what is going on right now. Very confusing. All I know is that I'm playing guitar again.

Thanks a lot for your time man, I appreciate that!

D: Thank YOU!
