-SRB to tour Japan this Fall! -New Years Eve plans announced, the tradition continues... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello good people! We hope your summer has been amazing, ours certainly has. The Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg, NY earlier this month was super fun, and we've got a bunch more shows that we're really looking forward to. First up... Friday, August 7th, 2009 (214 Sullivan St., NYC, btw Bleecker & W. 3rd St) 11:30pm, $10 admission- tickets available online The SRB momentum in NYC has been building over the last year or two, let's keep it going. Help us get everyone you know to come on out and party down at Sullivan Hall next Friday, it'll be off the chain! Also, we're headlining the night, so get ready for a nice long set... Just announced: Sim Redmond Band 10 Times Around the Sun Japan Tour!! Celebrating 10 years of making music together, the Sim Redmond Band will be traveling to Japan for a tour this fall. We will be visiting Osaka, Iida, Yokohama, Tokyo, Hamamatsu & Kashiwa, with more dates possibly to come... Our Japanese record label, Buffalo Records, has just released a new album, 10 Times Around the Sun, which compiles the best songs of the Sim Redmond Band from each of our 7 CDs over the past 10 years. There are also 2 new songs, Save Me & Goodbye which, for now, are only available on this new release. 10 Times Around the Sun also includes bonus video footage of 2 songs from a concert we played at the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY earlier this year. SRB has a greatest hits CD?? Wacky! I guess we really are "Big in Japan!" -New Years Eve- Never too early to start making your new years plans! We are happy to announce that the Sim Redmond Band will be holding our traditional New Years Eve show at Castaways in our hometown of Ithaca, NY. Plans are still in the making but it is sure to be an amazing night! Take a trip with some friends, come on up and bring in the new year I-Town style! Yes, we are finally on Facebook!
