Wassup my nigga!

Did you know that this was a word used as a ways to undermind us a people or person? It's a racial slur. The word is ugly. Why the hell do i use it?

I rarely use it as a greeting. When i think about the times that i do use the word it's usually when im describing something that someone did that was kind of dumb example: "Them niggas started shooting and shit" or "That nigga owes me some money" or maybe "imma beat that niggas ass".See the connection?  I could find sometype of justification or "right"   in the way that i used a word that is so wrong. When used in that way.  

but on the flip side

If im out and about and the streets are poppin on a sunny day I might say "the niggas are out today!" is this a bad thing? I've never been one of those guys who get all pissed off about the niggas and bitches thing in rap songs because i get it. Im asking myself the question because today someone came up to me and said "wassup nigga" and i felt a little weird. disrespected even. by the way the dude was black and a good friend of mines that i haven't seen in a long ass time. Instead of going on a rant that would make the guy think that i have gone crazy since the last time he last saw me i responded with the new local slang like "ain't shit bro wassup wit you?' BUT HE KEPT SAYING NIGGA! through the whole conversation. He sounded so ignorant. Nigga this. Nigga that. to make it so bad we ended up disscussing the upcoming elections. wow right?

I really don't have a closing remark to bring this blog to an end or anything. I don't have a solution.  By allmeans though i am certainly not a nigga. the definition of the word im not. A fellow black man yes, a nigga no. I guess i will just wait for another word to come along and take it's place. Then maybe nigga will be used only to describe situations like i mentioned above. i know the word isn't going anywhere. Maybe we can address each other as bookie or something? At least then i would blush.
