Most people here can't work if they wanted to, traffic is down like %95 (yes!!!) and pedestrians, snowshoers, snowboarders, skiers, sledders, beer schwillers have taken over the streets. It is fun and great right now but the aftermath will be nasty. Slush, ice, wetness everywhere.
I've posted vids of all this festivity at my youtube account. Most reactions I've gotten so far have ranged from "holy shit" to jolly laughter. I just wonder, what other chaos is going on in Seattle other than what I run into in the streets?

Anyways, I'm just disappointed I have my snowboard in Oly, not here. I think I would start at 15th and aloha, head down that beautiful, curvy street down to the streets that lead to the broad, high, curved I-5 overpass to the eastlake 'hood, stop into the lo-fi, drink some whiskey and wander to the crowd of 100+ sledders/snowboarders/skiers at Denny and Bellevue. Pretty early to experience such a highlight of the winter. this is a no-brainer to many of you but this never, ever happens in Seattle. Usually it snows a couple days a year here, and the day after each snow day, it begins melting quickly
