Undecorated Veteranz Music To Make You Stagger (EP) (Dial Up Records) Hailing from South Wales, a place criminally underrated when it comes to its strong and prospering hip hop scene, comes a three-piece crew with more energy in their music than Busta Rhymes on crack. Upon first listen to this EP, the listener is instantly taken to a place associated with such circa-1993 artists as Funkdoobiest, with the meaty, up-tempo beats perfectly accompanying the lively flow of rappers 4Dee and Joe Blow. Such tracks as 'We Can Make It Work', with its manic, headnodder of a beat, are sure-fire party starters and make this an essential purchase for any DJs out there wanting to liven up the house. With parallels easily made to acts such as Funkoars, it cannot be expressed enough, how dope and genuinely 'big' the production on this EP is. Avoiding any more clichéd old-school references (a worryingly feature of all my reviews thus far lol - either I must be getting old or hip hop is getting weaker) - this EP contains all the ingredients that make a classic.
