Not since the 2005 Rockrgrl Conference has there been a conference dedicated to showcasing women.  Indiegrrl Women in the Arts is producing their first conference on August 21 to 24 in Spencer, VA that will be showcasing women in music, comedy, spoken word, and more.  The deadline to submit your application to be considered for a showcase slot is April 30, 2008.  There are two ways you can submit.

Part of the proceeds for the conference will go to the Indie Music For Life cancer research fundraising efforts. http://www.indiemusicforlife.org  HotSpot Radio will be doing live broadcasts of the showcases and interviews with the artists on the new Indiegrrl Radio Channel.
