While not avoiding the label "rockabilly," Deke prefers to just let his music speak for itself: bluegrass, western swing, Memphis soul, doo-wop and rhythm & blues are just the tip of the twangy six-strings for this hard working artist. Kicking off his career in Missouri at the age of 17, Deke founded the legendary surf-garage band UNTAMED YOUTH and in '91 Deke moved to LA to join pal Dave Stuckey in forming the infamous DAVE & DEKE COMBO.
