LIBERTY JONES RETURNS TO SMITH’S OLD BAR MAY 24

Band joins the stage with South 70 for night of original music!

Marietta, GA-Liberty Jones sets up once again at Smith’s Old Bar with South 70 another favorite country-rock band here in Atlanta. This will be a great night of original music and perhaps an ode to Bob Dylan, for it’s his birthday. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, so get your tickets now, they are available at  Smith’s usual windows.

The band’s CD, Atlanta GA, (Indian Proud Entertainment) has been doing really well in sales, radio airplay and press attention. The CD played across the country on over 50 different stations as well as internet. ("Number in the nation on a 12 Watt Station" !) From the Charleston Post-Courier to Studio City Sun to Dallas along with a quote from the Virginian Pilot- "The Liberty disc is wonderful and reminds me of the glory days of Poco, Buffalo Springfield, Burrito Brothers, et al." On the Blogcritic’s Magazine, writer Kate Harding’s gushing review, made it to the Boston.com reviews page. Miles of Music has called it "a cracker of a guarantee!" Music News Nashville claims-"proves that they have the talent to go far with their wide open approach."

The band has opened up for the Little River Band during the summer, played with singer-songwriters John Brannen, local favorites Roger Mathis and Spencer Durham. During the hot summer months they played a rallies at the Killer Creek Harley Davidson dealership in Alpharetta, and won best band as well as best southern rock band.

But the kind words from Ms Harding, sums it up best, "I wouldn’t be surprised to see Liberty Jones take quite a stance in the Southern Rock /Americana/Country-oh, whatever-world."
