Decipher founded in 2001 by best friends ousy and munky who wrote a couple songs in the garage over the next few years before taking it seriously,with a few songs under there belt they decided to go in search of a drummer,not finding the right chemistry the dream of being on stage was on hold.
finally a drummer was recruited and gigs started to come,building up a small following things were looking well.Then the drummer injured himself a week before a gig and we searched for someone to fill in for him,PAUL agreed and we played the lemon tree it was such a good gig we asked paul to join permanently,he agreed,we played a few more gigs but then he left to play guitar in ESCAPE TO VICTORY.this saw the demise of the band.
Ousy then relocated in his hometown of Newcastle and joined THE STUMPS AND BREED ABORTION as a drummer.
Munky joined ALBYN SCHOOL FOR GIRLS in Aberdeen.
Ousy has now moved back to the Aberdeen area and now both Munky and Ousy have been talking about DECIPHER and have found a drummer in the form of DOUG. With recording on the table and the hope of a first E.P things are looking promising.Watch this space
