we went on like a three month bender or somethin and nobody bothered to update the goddamn myspace. well shit, how else are y'all supposed to know what the hell's been goin' on round here anyway?

For starters, way back in June we finally got our asses in gear and went on tour. Shoulda done that years ago.....damn lineup changes. It was a really fuckin cool time despite all the shit that went down. To make a long story short, we played our asses off, drank heavily, smoked far too many cigarettes, got busted by the cops, lost the keys to the van, had said van break down outside Louisville, KY, had to cancel two shows that we're STILL pissed about not playing (we HATE canceling shows), and wound up playing Cleveland on a Sunday night. Yum. Seriously though, many thanks to all the cool people and rockin bands we met along the way (MCC, your "gift" came at just the right time) and especially to Jake L. for being a great friend to the band and supporting us through all this shit. It was a huge task sometimes, putting up with our shit, but you really pulled through.

Post-tour saw us reconstructing what was left of our pathetic little lives and trying to comprehend the situation. It's a big step, going out on the road alone for the first time, and I think given the circumstances, we did all right. No one was a bitch, everyone pulled their weight, and we all came home with a better understanding and appreciation for what touring bands are up against on a daily/..monthly/yearly basis. The band that left Columbus in June was not the same band that came back in July.

All in all, It really was a cool time. We played a bunch of shows in July and August, and it was sweet. If you missed them, you missed out, because they were some of the rowdiest sets we've played in a long time, especially the July 31st show with MF Gnar and August 14th with Tombstalker. All those dudes are absolute badass when it comes to music. After that, well, we've just been busy. We're all over the place now: Roger lives in Yellow Springs busy bein' a hippie, Joe is in Columbus setting up Slacker House, and I moved to Cleveland to start the revolution. Seriously-..first thing we do is kill all the lawyers.

Not to fear. We've been writing and booking shows and buying gear (including a sexy sexy Emperor 2x12 and extremely loud Peavey 400 Series bass amp-think Sunn, but with less mystique). And fucking. Lots of it. Each other. In the butt. I catch mostly, but on Tuesdays Joe lets me flip for it. Roger, as always, takes the pictures.

Look out for some crazy shit coming up. New songs, hopefully a full-length, and maybe a split vinyl and some other goodies...If you've looked for our EP at Used Kids or Lost Weekend and it's not there, it's because we need to make more of them....yay DIY! cutting costs and saving lives, that's the motto at Ed's House, and it works for us.

6 years and 5 months...damn. Thanks tremendously to the people who have helped us get this far, and everyone who has contributed something to the journey...see you at the shows.
