Current mood: aroused
It's been a LONG time since I've blogged about the updates and whereabouts of The Mighty Others. So much has been going on, I figured I'd just wait until everything was done and just send one email. First off, I hope this finds you in a good spot! It's summer time, how can things be too bad right? Well since the last email here's the updates: We've relocated to Nashville, Tn! It's only been 3 months, but it has been amazing! We've met some great people here. The vibe of the city is really cool. Very conducive to making music and making it a legitimate career. I definitely think we made a good decision to try out a different area. If nothing else, at least we'll be escaping the harsh Minnesota winters that I've come to LOATHE! We've got our first live rehearsal coming up next week, and hopefully shortly there after we'll be up to booking some shows and letting it rip here in Nashville! Now for the biggest news of all...The new CD and website are done and ready for you to check out!!!! You have no idea how excited I am to say that. It seems like we've been working on it forever! The CD is called 'Tales From 1875'. The title is a reference to where we lived in St. Paul. All the songs were written and recorded there, so we thought it would be a fitting title. It's kind of been my baby for the last 6-8 months. I engineered and produced the album, did all the artwork, and redid our website to coincide with the release. You have no idea how happy I am to be done!! :) As much as I liked working on it, man I'm sick of doing that! I'm ready to play some new music again. You can go to www.jeffwenberg.com and download the new disc there. We're offering 'Tales From 1875' to you for FREE right at the moment. Money seems to be tight for everyone right now, so instead of being a hard nosed business man just concerned about getting money I thought it's more important to get this out there to you. You can download it for free, listen to it, pass it on, throw it away, or whatever you want to do. That being said, if you feel like we did a good job and you like what you hear, there is a donate button where you can donate to the "Keep The Mighty Others On The Road" fund. Anything you put in there will be totally appreciated, and put towards further musical pursuits and projects. There's also a store where you can buy the coolest Mighty Others gear. (this also contributes to the same fund) Please leave comments on the page, and let me know what you think of the site, the disc, or whatever else. Seriously, anything you feel like saying...put it there, and I'll get it. That's about all I have to report right at this time. Like I said before, I hope you're doing well. Let me know what you're up to as well. I'm always interested in hearing other people's daily adventures! There's some new ideas we're working on, and I'll let you know as soon as they're ready. Until then.... Be Safe, be kind Jeff
