Current mood:  cooky/wacky
this weekend, I have an exciting party coming up with good buddy Jay Balance from Albany and Tampa Star, Chang,

I have a few releases out this week and last that I'd like to let everyone know about, first up is a vinyl release on Headtunes Music out of Boston, you'll be seeing a lot of me on this label over the next few months...

Bobby & Klein were nice enough to offer this banger remix that I've been playing over the last year. it's pretty mental and I'm sure you'll agree. my original has just surfaced on beatport here! You will also be remiss to not pay close attention to Brenden Wesley's New Wave Hookers.
information is available here!

next is a remix I made for my SF friends at Prismatic, George Cochrane and Andrew Phelan. we got some really fancy magazine reviews over this one, you should definitely check George's original mix, it's quite unique. (and my own, if you're in a warehouse mood)
George Cochrane – Everydaylife - Out Now!

featuring DJ2, Andrew Phelan & Origami, Sleazy McQueen remixes

George Cochrane continues his strong working relationship with Prismatic Tracks with another deep and funky workout featuring his own vocals.  Though his name may be new to the ears of many, Cochrane’s music has been heard by the dance music community for years through a variety of partnerships, including his work with DJ2, Andrew Phelan & Origami, Cubik & Origami and The Fingermonsters.

This release comes in the wake of Cochrane’s huge track ‘My Synthesizer Won’t Behave’, for Prismatic’s sister label Monsta, which was given a perfect 10/10 review in iDJ and impressed Luke Solomon so much that he personally requested to remix the track.  The original and remixes of Everydaylife carve out a unique space in the house music landscape, attracting support from a wide variety of international heavyweights, including the likes of Robert Owens, Roger Sanchez, Colette, Laurent Garnier, Jay-J, DJ Heather, Dave Pezzner, Fred Everything, and Lawnchair Generals.

Listen:

1. Everydaylife (Original Mix)

2. Everydaylife (DJ2 Big Mix)

3. Everydaylife (DJ2 Stripped Mix)

4. Everydaylife (Andrew Phelan & Origami Mix

5. Everydaylife (Sleazy McQueen Mix)

the last thing to mention is that, I was pleased to be a part of this new LA based funky house label, alongside Atnarko on the song, Holding Me:

Lastly, "Holding Me" is a swingy and acidy house chugger featuring extra delay treatments and quirky bits by Sleazy McQueen (newly signed up to the Bear Funk label)

Mark Farina: Another floor rocker!
