hey hey, I've been too busy to post this before now(plus it's an overwhelming update!)
I have a few new releases out and coming out in the immediate future.
First up is
She Was Totally My Disco Muse on
Moodclub Music from Belgium. My Buddy Cole Medina made a remix of an instrumental track of mine, I took that and asked another friend, Anne Montone to drop some vocal magic, the result is sublime. I think it's probably one my best collaborations to date and has received really magnificent reviews, here are a few;
Social Disco Club- Bloody hell, this is amazing! Cole Medina always does it.. Full support
Jamie Jimpster- Cole's Vox Mix is an absolute stunner! love it and will be playing it loads. quality stuff. cheers.
Tim "Love" Lee- love the dub
Gavin Hardkiss / Hawke- excellent!! sleazy's doing it right.
Stacey Pullen- 4/5 nice 80's feel and groove
Rob Mello- Really like this. Will give it a whirl
Behrouz- really liked the cole vocal mix.
so, as you can tell from that feedback recap, it's getting well received across the board!
available for purchase at
StompyI also have two vinyls that hit recently; the highly acclaimed 20th release for my neighbour and buddy's label,
Chillin Music. As well as a remix on Boston's
Headtunes Music.
Chillin have pulled out all stops for their 20th release! Label Head, Rob Slac and I each made originals, I asked
Pezzner to remix mine and Rob enlisted his good friend,
Sasse for his. The result is a piece of vinyl that has utterly maximized every minute with quality.
buy it on vinyl at
Juno, or digitally at
BeatportTwo months back, I had a
Bobby & Klein remix of my acid-tech-house original appear on the
Headtunes Volume 1 sampler alongside a few other really choice tracks courtesy of Brenden Wesley, Replika and Pete Dafeet. it's available on wax from
juno as well.
Recently, I was able to add a tech house mix to an other-wise midtempo release for
Eighth Dimension's release
Magnetic, by
Beef Wellington, Ft.
Swamburger. This package included a few really wild mixes from Greenskeepers' front man,
James Curd,
Omegaman, and
Ryan Kick. It's available at
Beatport. My mix has been described as robot funk and I think that about states it!
In the very near future, I will have the following pieces of wax and a cd compilation hit the shelves.
A Rough Guide to Sleazy McQueen on UK house imprint,
Hairy Claw. HC is a sub-label of
Bear Entertainment, famous for their disco family. This record features three deep house songs by yours truly and with some collaborations between a few of my favorite people,
Cole Medina and
Ray Sweeten. There's also a super-speciel remix by Bulgarian acid-demi-god,
KiNK. The remix was debuted(to the best of my knowledge) when
Josh Wink opened his set at Ultra Music Fest 08 with it! That's some pretty immediate press...
here's what peole have said about it:
Mike Monday- The Kink mix is bonkers and I love it. And I'm really feeling the other
3, especially goody gumdrops which is making my eyes crossed.
Zdar(Of Cassius)- i like the alien sounds of the naked track, will play it for sure
Jimpster- This time! What a winner! lovely stuff. deffo play this one. cheers.
Big Times, Big Tings ft.
DJ I-tek and
Q-Burns Abstract Message, on
Headtunes Music, with remixes from
Nick Chacona,
Cole Medina, B-Team and an original slice of dubby-dubby tech-something by yours truly. The vinyl should hit shelves on June 20th!
Early feedback has been wicked:
Rick Preston- Smokin!!! Every mix is golden!
Jason Hodges- breathe of fresh air!..always love the dub choons!
Lovebirds / Kneedeep- nice groove! liking this!
Tom Hoch- Man i really dig this package, perfect for the summer time patio jams.
In the meantime, the
Big Times, Big Tings Remixes release has just hit the shelves featuring a my
Club Dub and
Cole Medina's Ska Mix, it's available exclusively at
BeatportI have to be totally honest, I'm bursting about this next one. I made a song on leap-year last year that changed my entire musical direction.
One Extra Day, on the
Bear Funk Compilation, Hibernation is probably one of the best things I've ever made. I'm quite honored to have it sit alongside
Greg Wilson, Lindstrom, Social Disco Club and
Stevie Kotey(Chicken Lips), among others.
On the gig front, I have a few exciting things coming up (as always!).
This weekend, Mot, Ken Sherry and I plan to blow your mind with spaced out boogie, half-baked edits and disco mayhem!
Bake Sale, Cub Scouts VS. Brownies! bring your best scouting attire.

Friday, June 6th, I'll be playing at the first
Mosaic Spring Music Festival in Raleigh, NC. The festival starts this weekend and features 50 djs and performers.

On June 13th, I'll be back in Miami at the always naughty
Back Door Bamby @ The Vagabond for another round of smoother than smooth, soft rock jams.
Yacht Rock Miami, part two, with host, Ashley Lavish, and fellow crewmates, Matt Harris, Chris Graham and Edwin Adams.
