05 - Generacion Perdida "1997-2003 Discografia" CDR
Generacion Perdida (Lost Generation) is from Lima, Peru that plays Anarcho Punk Rock with anti-capitalist, anarchist ideals, animal liberation, and anti-government lyrics sung in Spanish. This Philippine discography release includes 28 songs from their split cassette tape with Irreverentes, Contra toda Autoridad Resistencia Anarcopunk and Anarcopunks contra el Estado 2003 albums including their version of "Anarko Punk" by Desobidiencia Civil.
04 - Apatia No/Autonomia Split CDR
Raging Latino Hardcore band from Caracas, Venezuela, Apatia No (No Apathy) meets Melodic Punk Rock with Radical Lyrics, Autonomia (Autonomy) from Lima, Peru. The songs of Apatia No where taken from their "El Ruido De Antes… Contra Los Opresores De Siempre" CD release by Skuld Releases and Alerta Antifacista. Most of their songs (with new recordings) are political, anti-capitalist, environmental, gender issues and DIY with male/female vocals while Autonomia's "Luchar Y Resistir" early cassette tape is featured in this split CDR release for the Philippines.
03 - Uliczny Opryszek/Tank Girl Split CDR
Uliczny Opryszek (Street Ruffians) is been in the Polish Scene for almost 15 years of their existence. Known for their Punk/Oi roots, their lyrics deal with Catholicism, their views in the Iraq War, Politicians and typical punk and skinhead lyrics. Tank Girl is Rai Ko Ris side project from Kathmandu, Nepal. This Girl fronted punk rock band sings about child abuse, prostitution, domestic violence, the war on the countryside and including their rendition of X-Ray Spex "I live off you". Recorded at Rai Ko Ris rehearsal studio using a condenser microphone, certainly DIY. This band is one on my list.
02 - Spit End "Wises is he who he knows that he doesn't know" CDR
Supposedly release on cassette tape by a Malay friend who back out due to marketable fret but instead, release it on CDR, which is first, came out in Malaysia before the Philippines. At last the Philippine version is finally released the debut album from this Punk/Hardcore band with a touch of Emo (from a personal point of view) that contains 12 songs including their rendition of Urban Bandit's "Blood on every Heart". Their songs are about their love ones, betrayal, hacienda luisita, the authorities and corruption in the legislative department while two of their songs are sung in Tagalog and Pampango native dialect. As of now the band has a new vocalist and expect more melodically sound from this band very soon. DIY not EMI Production and Love from Hate collaborative effort.
01 - The Istukas over Disneyland "All been said before" CDR
After 9 years, this Capampangan band finally release their debut album with 10 Punk Rock songs also featured on the Split CD with Crashed Out from Indonesia release by Maloka Distro and Kepala Eskurbota Records (France) and the said album was also re-released by Nikudan Records (Poland) and Cat Food Money Records (Texas). The lyrics deal with the Police, Child Abuse, betrayed hopes and typical skinhead lyrics stuff that you already heard. It comes in a professionally done photocopy layout with DIY touch.
