carnival bouquet alights the intellect launching adolescent visions, streams transient realities sautéed in whispers granted wishes, smiles, laughter
such freedom then, tagged with rules regulated time, parental guidance only they can stay late only they, the older, have more fun
as the apparition withers, this smile pales, somewhat allowing the clattering boulevard, return unabated then a sigh, onward through umbrellaed drizzle a sting of lost youth, yet better for the kind reminiscence
