Her eyes go wild, freezing my skin,

As she talks about the dead.

And her cigarette burns off the cold

She creates with her breath.

It feels like the aftermath out here

And we're mourning Earth

Turn myself upside-down, have a look

At the world

CHORUS

Don't you think,

These words would sound better

If you were in my head?

No use in standing around, talking alone

'bout the dead.

It all falls apart in my hands

As we got up to leave.

And I know you aren't stopping tonight

Where we used to sleep.

I stand there elusive to you

Close enough to reach.

Put myself in a box made of bones

filled with nothing.

CHORUS

Don't you think,

These words would sound better

If you were in my head?

No use in standing around, talking alone

'bout the dead.

The walls are here, standing there strongly

As I fall.

Giving the license to anyone

To come and unroll.

Tonight I will play with your face as

You stick 'round in my head.

Bleeding so lifeless and frozen

As you climb into bed.
