Hello great people of the land far and wide! Hope your summers are
running well into full gear by this point!..
It's been a long
time and there's much MUCH to tell, so enough w/ the small talk! ;)...
-After the weekend, i'll be heading out into the desert in Joshua
Tree, CA, to do some writing w/ some friends for a potential new band side-project..
it's a bit on the hush hush so that's all i can say about it for right now, but
i hope to have more details for you soon!
-On Thurs the 23rd,
i'l be making my annual summer retreat to Colorado, for a show in Boulder
at the Laughing Goat. Hope all you folks i've met out there over
the last few years can make it out! (also details below)
-I was just
very happy to find out i was selected to perform at the this event
on Aug 20th in NYC...should be very interesting! Check it out!
"On
August 20, 2009, every Gap store in the U.S. and Canada will host an exclusive,
live acoustic music night to celebrate Gap’s 40 years of heritage in jeans
and music.
It's
the largest-ever
simultaneous live acoustic music event, hosted by Gap - a performance in
700+ Gap Stores"
-Last month I went back i
nto the studio
and cut
3 new band tracks that are really coming along!..
hoping to have some sort of release for them (and possible 1 or 2 more) by late
Sept that will coincide w/ a big full band show... will keep you posted. also
plan to post one on my Myspace page shortly so be sure to checking in there when
you can.
www.myspace.com/craiggreenberg-In other news,I
did a last minute short set opening for friend Jerry Joseph (
www.jerryjoseph.com)
@ the Cafe Addis in Harlem last week. Was a really cool room, and i wound
up sitting in w/ Jerry on keys on a couple of his songs. (hoping to have
some live recordings from that soon!)
-Also recently recorded the
Beatles
song "Don't Let Me Down" for an all
ukelele Beatles tribute
album being produced by the very insanely brilliant Roger Greenawalt and
Dave Barratt (

They'll will be an official release of the track in either Sept or Oct (i
will let ya know..may also post it on the myspace at some point)..
-I recently did an
video interview for a very cool music blog
called
Guitarkadia (www.guitarkadia.com), run by Emon Hasson..
it was about, amongst other things, my musical journey. it's being edited
as we speak so i hope to be able to share that with you soon too.
