ELITA . electronic entertainment event italia . milan, 6.7.8 april 2006
during milan design week
ELITA is a new and completely original concept thought as a unique italian meeting entirely dedicated to electronic music. It's a three day long event where clubs, locations, bars, showrooms in Milan get together to display the most important electronic music producers and performers of today.
International and italian record labels, video-art studios, publishing groups, music distributors and event organizers will finally find an event where to meet, promote new productions and make new partnerships. The planning and development of this festival is coordinated by a team of people who successfully experienced already the organization of projects linked to entertainment, electronic music and digital arts.
The chosen period for Elita is during the Salone del Mobile (Milano Design Week), a period when Milan fills up with hundreds of thousands of visitors from allover the world offering any sponsor a visibility impossible to reach in any other period of the year. elita will be recognized through a networking of places around the city: showrooms, locations, bars and expos inside which the public will find dj sets, video-artists, electronic live shows and performances for the whole three days. From the aperitiv pre-dinner time until late night the crowd can then choose what to see according to personal preferences, creating then an ideal personal path through the event programme.
The elita Headquarter will have a prominent role in the event. It will be based inside the Meritalia Showroom curated by Fabio Novembre and based in Milan centre / Via Durini 23, just off San Babila. This building in the most central area of Milan is opened every day and it's going to be the place where the general public and the professionals can attend to panels, meetings and find all the material regarding elita. Elita will produce as well the party 'Night is One' on behalf of BMW series 1.
The elita cultural association is born with the intent to organize events based on electronic music and entertainment with a new and multicultural approach. The founders have a long history of professional experience in this field: Manfredi Romano, event organizer and owner of Daze booking agency, Alioscia Bisceglia, director of the label / consultancy agency Royality, Lele Sacchi, dj/producer/label manager and also art director of the Magazzini Generali club and Dino Lupelli, event cosultant and art director of the Elettrowave festival.
