I ran into a situation recently that kind of set me off,

Ok i’ll start from the Top

For the past week I have been giving rides to a co- worker who’s name will be known as D. When I first gave him a ride It was becasue we got out of work early . adn since we were out early, I didnt have to be at the house in such a hurry which allowed me to drop D off at his house. it was then that I explained to him that normally I wouldn’t be able to do rides directly at his house after work because of family stuff That needs to be requires me to be home as soon as possible.

Now today in the middle of shift he comes and asks me can I get a ride i’ll give you five dollars. I said yeah thats cool. And for him and another coworker it was cool because they both live in the same general direction that I travel through in order to get home. So the normal mode of action would be to drop D off at one corner and drop the other co- worker off down the street. As i made my way to the corner I told D I would have to drop him off at the corner, to save time so I can make it home on time deal with my family. OHH MAN! Why you dropping me off at the corner I thought you were going to take me to my house, then I repeated, I cant because I have to get home to my family to take care of stuff. BUT IM GIVING YOU 5 DOLLARS!!??? I said if thats what your worried about you can keep the five, but my family comes first. Then as we are at the corner he said well thanks .......alright then see ya’ll later.

The topic of today is Being Grateful for what you have,because it can be taken away from you.

That situation made me so angry because I sacrificed time I didnt have, gas money I cant really afford, and effort because I dead tired from work. To give some one a ride. Between the distance of the corner and his house was around 2-3 blocks. But still he felt he had the right to complain because I would do what he wanted for 5 bucks. and in the end he still got a FREE RIDE when he could have taken the bus.

This situation hit me in alot of different areas all at once. To the point that I almost was in tears (forgive me, im sensitive cat O.k. ........moving right along) it just hurt me really deep because When your trying to help, people can be so ungrateful .......but then again.........alot of people treat God that way(myself included).

Bottom line.... lets be grateful for the help that we get no matter who its from and as often as you can show a little gratitude .....because even when people offer to help you, you don’t really know what they are giving up in order to "Save your BUTT"!!!
