| Prabhu Music - Home of the Music of Deva Premal & Miten |
Dear Friends,
Deva and Miten spent most of August in Corfu with Rafia, first sharing Osho's meditations in The Way of The White Clouds, and then exploring the mysteries and joys of Tantra-Mantra For Couples. Their next Tantra-Mantra For Couples group will be offered in Maya Tulum, Mexico, from Nov 28-Dec 5 – there are still places left for this life-transformational process, so if you are in a couple, we encourage you book your place now! (Costs have been reduced by 10% - see Miten's note below.)
As we write, Deva and Miten are preparing for their USA tour with Nepalese bansuri maestro Manose, which promises to be their most expansive and celebratory yet! They begin in New York at the Omega Institute's annual Ecstatic Chant Retreat, and then continue through Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, St Petersburg, Calgary, Phoenix, Boulder, Maui, Honolulu, Kona, Los Angeles, Austin and Houston. Some venues are already sold out, so be sure you get your tickets in time! Dates may be added, so check the website for new additions. See Events for full details of their schedule, and visit the Photo Blog and this new video clip for some fun pictures of their adventures on the road.
Thank you all for being part of this wonderful worldwide community. If you would like to help share the healing power of Deva and Miten’s mantras and songs please email us.

| New Music Posted in Lyrics & Chords |
Many new chants and songs, including all of those contained in the new CD/DVD combo In Concert and the meditation CD Mantras For Precarious Times, have been added to the Lyrics & Chords section of the website. The music can be found by CD title, and we have also just added a new listing by song title. Deva and Miten want to do whatever they can to help you establish your own Satsang circles. Also check our Forum to find Satsang groups near you, or post information about one you are hosting.
"Still swirling in an ocean of bliss and chakra-spinning grace after our first Satsang Circle here at Penwhilwr. Such beautiful people emerged from the hills and valleys to join in the Union ... some coming from quite afar across Wales. It felt like a home coming, an arrival for new, yet familiar friends, all held and nourished by each voice, breath, Ravi's music, the 108-times-chanting OM SHANTI OM....the silence, a beautiful lunch, a beach walk and leap frog ... and this is just a beginning...!!"

| Battlestar Galactica: Mantras On Board |
In a recent interview at MediaBlvd, Edward James Olmos, who starred in Blade Runner and as Commander Adama in the hit television series Battlestar Galactica, notes that Deva's mantras played a key role in helping him to fully develop a sense of character:
"I found Deva Premal’s albums, and ended up listening to them, which drove me into understanding Battlestar’s world, and they became the centerpiece. I take my hat off to that music. The mantras that she sings are kind of like prayers, but she had put melodies to them, and they were so enlightening. Almost like a cross between Gaelic and ancient music, just using her contemporary instruments, but they were so haunting that they became the centerpiece of how I could create this world…” |

| Message From Miten |
| HI friends,
Welcome! It was great to see so many of you during this year's European Tour. What a blast we all had! Deva, Manose and I all felt that it was the most ecstatic tour yet - in fact, ever! Thank you so much for sharing your light with us.
In July, as a completion to the tour, we spent a week at the AsvaNara Horse Academy in Toscana, Italy in the region of the St. Francis Monastery. AsvaNara is owned by our friends Ariane and Edwin, who are very unique in their approach – and their love - towards horses. They communicate with them in a way that heals both horse and human (no fear, no threat) and their herd of 30 beautiful horses is unique in that the horses live naturally, and as a consequence, are open, inquisitive, friendly and contented. Deva and I really recommend you check their site and go visit them. To be there was an amazing experience for us – the horses taught us so much about communication and the transcendence of the busy mind. We felt we’d given our souls a great gift. You can see some pix of our time there, here.
Also, I want to say something about the Tantra-Mantra for Couples group in Mexico this December. This group is not booking as fast as in recent years, and we suspect it’s either because of the recession or because of the media induced fear of swine flu. I just feel to encourage you not to pay too much attention to it all, and follow your heart.
We all need time to nourish ourselves and our relationships. Now is the time to explore our freedom, in love and in deep connection. Tantra-Mantra gives us this opportunity. In these precarious times, what better gift to give each other than to live our passion!
In view of the recession, the Maya Tulum resort has agreed to reduce the accommodation charges by 10% and the cost of the group has also been reduced by $100. Hopefully this will help you take the jump into a week of pure delight!
Here’s a comment from a participant in this year’s Tantra-Mantra group in Corfu:
“..Living Tantra Mantra was somehow unexplainably magical. Meditating with mantras and living the relationship in a new level was something we gained there. Being one with the group, with my partner - and with myself - that was the greatest gift. The magical music of Deva, Miten and Manose and the Tantra teachings of Rafia really have made my life a more conscious and enjoyable experience...”
And finally, a book I want to recommend. My friend Ravi turned me on to it last week and I cannot put it down - Wild: An Elemental Journey by Jay Griffiths. If you love our planet – and I know you do - read this book. And as for music, this is such great fun: Easy Stars Lonely Hearts Dub Band by the Easy Star All Stars. If you love The Beatles and love reggae, it’s just a must! It is top draw.
That’s all for now. Enjoy Life!
With love, Miten |

| The Song of Life |
"Listen to the song of life. Life is a melody; existence is musical -- for so many reasons. Existence is harmony; it is not anarchy. It is not a chaos; it is a cosmos, a unity.
So complex, so vast, but still united. And life pulsates -- from the lowest atom to the highest star. Wave lengths differ, pulsations are of different frequencies, but the whole pulsates in a deep unity, in a harmony. Plotinus has called this 'the music of the spheres'. The whole existence is a music."
