Prism

Prism leave
breaking sunlight
into layers
emerald
calcite
moss agate
malachite
spread wide
arch limbs
paint
a green rainbow
verdant
see
a supple ballet
sway spin
move
as wind fingers
pluck
twig branch trunk
as quiet witness
aware
so be
prism flesh
breaking world
into layers
tree
flower
bird
man
earth ride
arch live
draw
a breathing rainbow….

flame in the snow

You have managed to make a poem about trees, leaves, rainbows and prisms that is not sentimental but "breathes" --

holy chlorophyll, batman, you did it!

Wow. I read "as wind fingers pluck twig branch trunk" four times. It is a wonderful line. This piece is racked with phrases worthy of committing to memory.
