For several years now, Dr Das has been producing and remixing for INDIGENOUS RESISTANCE (IR), the label and collective who, along with sister organization THE FIRE THIS TIME (TTFT) highlight the struggle of indigenous people worldwide through their dub/dance releases.

The latest release IR14, features 4 mixes of the track KRIKATI where the electro funk rhythms and atmospheres of
MAD MIKE of UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE, and Dr Das’s driving bass and tabla loops are subjected to the organic yardstyle deconstruction of dubmeister STEVEN STANLEY, well known for his work with Black Uhuru.

The release is timely, as the latest incursions by the Brazilian military into the Amazon in the name of commercial interests and profit generate rare media coverage of indigenous fight back.
