::: April 2008 Notes

As usual, here's my rundown of the series of events that took place during this month's installment of Broketronica.

Firstly, it's always worth mentioning that I feel honored and privileged to be the host of this event. Its modest beginnings and steady growth have humbled me beyond words. When this event first started, I didn't think it would last as long as it has or manage to accumulate as much interest as it has over the past 2 years. At this point, we have managed to gather national attention to the extent that we are being approached by touring acts from all over the place. So, thanks up front for being as supportive as you all have been.

Oh, and to that guy who was complaining that no one was working the door to take his money ... YOU'RE WELCOME FOR BEING COMPED.

Here's a rundown of the artists and their performance order, roughly:

1) Yohei Nishiyama (Live DJ)
2) Control Alt Deplete (Live PA)
3) FULCRUM (Live electronics)
4) At Work (Live PA)
5) MAD (Live PA)

::: The Podcasts & Other Media

The Podcasts are available for download in various formats:

Via Broketronica Live:

iTunes users:

Generic RSS Feed:

Some users (OSX) have trouble loading the sets from the Broketronica Live Coppermine Photogallery mechanism. I might recommend downloading and installing VLC, which is an excellent media player for OSX that can handle pretty much anything. But if you don't want to mess with that and you don't want to mess with iTunes, feel free to access the mp3s directly via the generic RSS feed.

Photos of the event: HERE

Videos of the event will be posted up shortly.
You can find photos, video, and podcasts from past events at Broketronica Live >> http://live.broketronica.com

But, enough about the past ... May is going to be off the fucking hook.
