Ok, so I finally did my make-up practice speech today in Myers's class, my second block. It went really well, much like my last one, except in this case, my 'judge' actually believed that I practiced, prepared and was confident.
Unfortunately, I was told to add back in everything I took out and to take out everything I was told to add in, but at least I got the feedback I needed before next Thursday... ouch... "next" Thursday. That's a little frightening.
My board is still holding up. I can't quite say the same about my easel. It's kind of falling apart. For some reason, it wouldn't clip my drawings together this morning, so I had to pull them off and drop them behind me. It's never done that before. I really need to figure it out because it was pretty distracting today when the paper was crumpling and falling at my feet as I described the process of design.
I basically have my portfolio now as well. I bought stationary from Kinkos in Auburn, flower-themed, of course, but I still need to go back to Kinkos with all of my forms and photo-copy them onto nicer paper. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes, but I need to make the effort of driving there and making the copies first. Almsost finished, though!!!
The other thing is AP tests... I'm really anxious to get those over with. The AP Calclulus test is on Wednesday morning at 7ish. I'm a little worried about that one. I did really well on the free-response questions on the practice tests and the actual final, but the multiple choice was hit and miss depending on the test. The AP English test is the Wednesday after that. Again, did really well on the essays, really bad on the multiple choice tests... but at least I'm consistent, right? Kinda? lol. I'm sure I'll get either a 4 or 5 on both of them, so I'm not that worried.
Well, I'm off to finish that senior boards portfolio. Good luck seniors!
