Ok, so last night, Firday the 13th, scary night. . .oooh! We had a show scheduled at The Delancey. The legendary NYC promototer Frank Wood called us a week ago, and asked us if we wanted to fill in a cancellation slot. I figured, "hey why not? It's a Friday night, it's The Delancey, and we haven't played a Frank Wood gig for a while and it'll be a good chance to get back in the scene." I checked with the band, they all said yes. I called and confirmed with Frank, and he said "OK, 1am"

Little word of advice. . . .ALWAYS ASKE WHAT TIME.

So we show up to the club early. By early, I mean midnight. We all had long obnoxious days at work, Yancy was sick as a dog, blowing snot out his face left and right. I had just learned that the car I bought nearly a month ago had a blown cylinder head and was going to cost $2000 to fix. So I'm arriving fresh out of a rage-fest, having thrown a chair accross the room, and breaking a ladder. (I have a bit of a temper).

So, 1:15 rolls around. Which is 15 minutes past our scheduled set time. The band that is now setting up on the stage is not the band before us, but the band before the band before us! That's right, 1:15, and 2 bands to go. At this point, we're not going on till 3am. (And there was even a band on after us!)
By 3am, even our 1 fan would have left.

We look around the room, look at each other, sling our gear across our backs and go. Yancy went home to sweat under the covers, I went to drink my automotive sorrows away with Sakura and Zach. It was a wise desicion, and don't nobody try to convince us otherwise.

Sooner or later, people around the world will be flocking to a Kindergarten show, to watch them ditch their set. Think of the marketing possibilities!!
