Nature for sale. (Riding bikes through The Man's air) This was inspired by Jessica Miesner's note on her trip to Screenland to see a Hunter S. documentary.
I wish humans were not so blind to the underhanded way in which their nature is exploited for the sake of fascism. It's as if Mom and Dad are saying ;
"You can be dirty, as long as we can direct, watch, and make a dollar off of you".
NOTE:Hybrid cars will, and are, coming into vogue amongst the rich. Yet, they are the one community who can afford gas to get to work. Free energy will not be free when our own sun and wind are sold back to us.
If we do not make a choice to allow some things to be free how will we afford to breath? We must write books, and songs about life before the new "grid" we are about to walk into.
WE MUST LIVE THESE THINGS.
Our "boxes", houses, phones, cars, and computers are in fact the most tempting cages by which we might even enslave ourselves to debt for the sake of our own self expression. When we free art for public viewing we are told ...
"buy a permit".
To have a gathering,
"buy a permit",
"You're too young",
"we own that sidewalk".
Do we really want our lives and freedoms to be governed by the annoyances and morality of those who can pay to keep us quiet? How can we break the cycle? Build, trade, and live. Dance to dance, sing because singing is free, share your life and don't let dead assholes judge you for it, nor the wealthy, the hip, or the "down".
Life is not about the job we take and what we can buy with the money we've earned. It's about us, our pleasure, and our continuous dedication to see those around us live as free, and healthy beings.
If we do not sing we are not heard. If we do not dance we become weak. If we destroy our bodies to become slaves to plastics, credit, and fuel we are not ahead of our time.
We are owned.

"There is no week nor day nor hour when tyranny may not enter upon this country, if the people lose their roughness and spirit of defiance.
" "You shall no longer take things at second or third hand....nor look through the eyes of the dead .... nor feed on the spectres in books,You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me, you shall listen to all sides and filter them for yourself".
Walt Whitman (Leaves of Grass)
