CLARIFICATION.

Due to the confusion that seems to surround my involvement with Current 93 I’d like to make a simple clarification. During the last fifteen years I have written the majority of musical output for Current 93, some of the more well know tracks I’ve composed include -
Lucifer Over London; Mary Waits In Silence; A Gothic Love Song; All The World Makes Great Blood; Good Morning, Great Moloch; Dormition And Dominion; The Descent Of Long Satan And Babylon; The Bloodbells Chime; Whilst The Night Rejoices Profound And Still; All The Stars Are Dead Now; Calling For Vanished Faces; The Inmost Light; The Great, Bloody And Bruised Veil Of The World; Red Hawthorn Tree; A Silence Song; So:This Empire Is Nothing; Immortal Bird; The Frolic; Judas As Black Moth; The Seven Seals...; The Teeth Of The Winds Of The Sea; Rosy Star Tears From Heaven; The Carnival Is Dead And Gone; Walking Like Shadow; The Seahorse Rears To Oblivion; The Magical Bird In The Magical Woods; This Shining, Shining World; Butterfly Drops......
People often seem confused as to where the music actually comes from, so the reason for this clarification is to dispel at least some of this vagueness. After being a member of Current 93 for over fifteen years I still read magazine, book, and online biographies and reviews in which my music is credited to others, or often where I am considered too irrelevant for inclusion.

Having just sent you a message, I decided to look at your blog. I was surprised to see that it refers to much the same issue/s.
I'm slightly saddened that you needed to post it in the first place, and also that there are not more comments here.

Your central role in C93 IS / WILL be missed by people, but whether they know they're missing YOU, I couldn't really say. Judging by brief conversational snippets last night, I think there probably ARE plenty of people who know where all that great music comes from.

I'm certainly not feeling sorry for you though! I'd kill (almost) to have made so much beautiful music - even if no-one listened to it. As it is, I make rubbish music and no-one listens to it. At least I'M getting the recognition I deserve!!!

Michael, doesn't Joolie Wood (co-)compose a lot, and what about Mr. Tibet himself concerning the vocals? Regards, Axel

People tend towards laziness and inattention, one of the hugest failings of the species.

On the plus side, all great artists have an aura of myth about them.
