Thank you to the 3500 people who came out to the 2007 summer party. We have very big plans for 2008's party. There will be more side shows, bigger name bands, another day and an assload more people for sure. The dates are June 26th, 27th, 28th & 29th. We will not begin booking bands until after the October 27th Halloween show at the Orbit Room. Stay tuned and get ready as we prepare to make a run for 10,000 people there in 2008.

The last 2 years at Morelands were a riot, for those going to the 2008 venue if it's held at morelands again I'd suggest the following things

1) Sunscreen!!! -- When the pics are out you'll see my fat butt wandering around looking like a lobster or crab -- Some Shade but not alot at Morelands in either the camping area or parking area.
2) Air Mattress for your tent or a real mattress or something comfy to sleep on if you're tenting it.
3) Water shoes for the crick -- it's cold flows fast but very stony & you don't want to swim in the pond sober :P
4) TP!!! Big venue = porta-pots getting lambasted every few hrs, you don't want to get into a pinch after a big band gets off stage.
5) Cash for the vendors -- Trust me, between the fresh food the glass blowers, t-shirt vendors, etc etc etc, you don't want to have to make the treck to Stanton to get more green for your wallet.
6) Big Plastic containers to put all your booze in -- No Glass Allowed beyond the front gate.
7) Most important, your will to party with anyone/everyone who has the energy to!

Hope to see everyone there in 2008.

hmm 10k people. Jagermeijster <spelling?> is bound to take notice of that.

I attended the 2007 summer shows and they were awesome! It was the most amazing rockin' weekend! My friend JD and I met at least a thousand new people and partied with most of them! We hung out with Chris, Katlyn, Dave and Annie with From the Gallows and got to know some of the bands. We missed the Halloween show, so that sux. But we've told so many ppl about the '07 show that we have a caravan planned for the '08 weekend. Also, a friend of mine knows quite a few local bands, in they just did a benefit concert last night to raise $$ for 'Christmas for Kids.' If you need to get some extra bands for the show contact me. And I would LOVE to support and pomote The Carnival of Chaos 2008 shows in the tri-city and northern Michigan area. Just send me flyers, concert info - distribution is not a problem!! We do not have nearly enough -Rock the Arts- events here. I am a die hard rocker and totally believe that music is our only universal language. Let me help you and help my surrounding communities to educate them in rock.
Thanx, Annette Springborn

Woah I can't believe I forgot to post this in my original comment

On the final day of the concert DO NOT drink to much, the Sunday after the concert they wake you up around 9am trying to get extra $$$ out of you to keep sleeping there for admission to the Motocross race that day.
