Building on the sellout success of NRFTW #1 which featured the excellent bands Dead Silence Syndicate and Step 13 (check out the review www.dogs onacid.com ), No Rest For The Wicked, the Uk's only night dedicated to the progression of live drum and bass, returns for it's second round, bringing you yet another heavyweight selection of the UK's finest live drum and bass bands. This month NRFTW presents to you London's Dust 21 and Blackout from Bristol.

Dust 21

DUST21, is the brainchild of founder member and band producer Majeeko aka Luke Barr, who also plays lead guitar, keyboards, and percussion in the band.  DUST21, also incorporates the talents of Rony Blue - singer songwriter, Lady MC,   Sensha on electric double bass, Neil Shervell on drums, & DJ's Crafty & S.P.Y. on turntables.                                                                                                        As an unsigned band, the last two years for DUST21 have been all about producing enough of the quality tunes needed to create the current show that has made a serious impact at recent gigs and has got the industry heads talking about them as being the next DnB band that can make it big. Having recently impressed an industry audience at the prestigious In The City Urban showcase, DUST21 were then selected to play at The Best OF ITC Urban at London's, Carling Academy where they once again stole the show.   Expect a fast and furious performance from the crew and maybe a guest appearance from legendary dnb vet 5 -0 'pon the mic.

"A jump-up-inspired sound with tight vocal interplay between Lady MC
and chanteuse Rony Blue..the sheer fierce energy of the band's
performance wins the crowd over once again."  Dogs on Acid

 Blackout

Blackout are a live Drum'n'Bass outfit from Bristol, UK. They formed as a one off for a free party in 2001 and have rocked clubs, festivals and parties nation wide, delivering an electric set every time.                                                                     With live drums, samples, heavy bass lines, feverish Guitar, Sax, a Dj, Male vocals from Mc Conshus and Female vocals from former breakbeat era vocalist Lennie Laws, a variety of eclectic styles and influences seep through to create the sound they are now renowned for. Blackout have been described as one of the UK's leading live DnB acts pushing the boundaries of Drum and Bass and playing alongside dnb heavyweights such as  Mampy Swift, Bryan Gee, More Rockers, Kosheen, Kenny Ken, Shy Fx, Clipz, and Bentley Rhythm Ace as well as opening the dance stage at last years Glastonbury festival.  These guys are explosive ! certainly one's to watch for the future.

"When it comes to live Drum'n'Bass, Blackout are up there with the best of them! Their reputation for excellent shows and an 100riginal sound has earned them a loyal fan-base and a rapidly filling diary."  - Skiddle.com
