I've been hiding under some rocks lately, but am peeking out and looking toward some more activity in the near future. My typical thing to do is to promise a CD...then try to work on it...get discouraged...put it on a shelf for a few months...try again...get discouraged again...etc. Eventually it gets done.
Over the last few days I've completed the main mixes and performances for 8 of the tunes to be on the next CD. I've 4 more to finish-up. Considering how well things have been going, they may very well end up done before the weekend is out! Yeah...right. But you never know.
In the meantime, I've throttled back on performances until next year. I've a couple of Eljay's performances scheduled in January and February, and will be working with the Kacico Dance Company in their Song and Dance Project (along with a group of other stunning musicians from the area). No, I won't be dancing. But I will be performing a couple of tunes...at this moment Special Kind of Blue and Walls have been chosen. I'll update y'all when I know more.
I have also just purchased a live recording rig so that I will be able to capture some of my live act with higher quality than ever before. In this way, I figure I'll have a live album as my next project. In the meantime, I've put up a live version of Trying to Fill the Great Big Empty that was recorded at Eljay's River Market Coffeehouse on my current live rig.
Here's hoping the holidays are treating everyone well!
Keep Listening...
