Fort wayne recap

So the sound was not as nice as it could of been. But was adequate for what we were doing and the size of the crowd I guess. The bartender/owner of the spot was really accomodating. One of the opening acts was actually pretty good, 2rq from fort wayne was probably one of the best acts we have performed with yet. The show was sort of successful.. We paid for our hotel room and gas, so no complaints.

The rest of the day today has mostly been spent in Lima OH, hanging out with silly and bionicman at the corner store selling mixtapes. I a a littl sunburnt, but I can cope. We are at the place we are staying and I really can't wait to sleep. I am tired of having days off, I would rather be doing shows or even record shopping. Sadly there was nothing here in Lima, maybe tomorrow in dayton.

Dayton, OH tonight.. Other than that.. Unevenetful, I need to get into some record stores though, all this travelling and no digging is wearing on me.

So yesterday we finally got to do some digging. Hit up a couple of spots in dayton, oh and came away with some good stuff that I definitely would of had a hard time finding in iowa. I am pleased with that. So here comes some more beats.

My right arm is pretty sunburnt, if my phone would take a good picture I would post one. But it is not turning up. Maybe tomorrow.

The show last night was fun, good crowd, and a god vibe. Illogic performed along with some other ohio natives, and it was illpoetics cd release. It seems there are a lot of rappers with ill in their names in ohio. I sold some merch and met some good people. Right now I am waiting for my pizza at 12:56... I think the show is still going on. After the show we are apparently driving to buffalo, 6 hours. I hope we can stay awake and keep it moving, sleeping in the van is not appealing... ill update later.. If we make it.

So the drive from dayton to buffalo was shitty. Tone pretty much held it down while everyone was sleeping, so thank goodness for that. But we made it, pulled into buffalo about 9 am. After that we prett much slept. I was awake from like 2:30 to 5 then went back to sleep and woke up at 9 pm. Pretty much wasted the day sleeping, ate some good chinese/vietnamese food and then went to the venue. A nice big spot, that seemed to have good sound while the djs were playing. But lack of a soundman left things sounding terrible once the mics were in use. The crowd was feeling the music regardless though and the performance was cool. I tried hard to sell some cds, feeling like the ass who has to pester people, I hate dudes who do that. But I am far enough away from home that I am going to need the money later on. Funny thing, was how open everyone was about burning the cd off their friend who had alread purchased it. It sort of left me in disbelief. One guy actually returned the two he had, for the other two on the table so him and his friend could burn it.

Kind of funny, but also kind of irritating. So, thanks to the people who bought it to support a man 1000 miles from home. Overall the show was cool even though the venue cost so much we didn't make but 10 dollars. I am expecting the east coast to be quite a bit different from the midwest, but so far it is turning out to be very similiar.
