God is much more then a glimmer. He is ALL light and ALL love and ALL that IS. HE/SHE is what holds this universe together, and what shakes it up from time to time. I personally prefer 'Eternal Spirit' over the word God. It is much more discriptive I think.
If I may quote from my poem 'Morning Light, Within':



It is time to celebrate life

as my cold feet slip calmly

into warn out slippers waiting by the bed



It is time to appease my fragile soul

as the morning goddess

slips into my skin, releasing light. . .




I drink it full!



The calm light within me

as I make ready

for another day
