Well, the Autumn run has come to a close with some excellent gigs culminating in a superb night at the Rock Cafe last Saturday night. To celebrate the closing of Liquefy's 2007 we were lucky enough to get an interview with the X-Factor judges to give us their take on the Chug Factor. We also take a look back in time with a new feature and we start with another comic strip update.. Rock Chronicles

Double D's Pub adventuresThis is the first edition of a new feature where we document the many adventures of the Dynamic Duo, Al & Bri, that at some point end up in a pub. The ability to find a fine drinking establishment in the most obscure of situations is envied throughout the world and this feature hopes to provide an insight into how to end your travels at a good local. And so we begin with a frosty little tale..
Double D were booked to play a gig at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland back in 1962. Unfortunately, Al & Bri spotted a Gremlin on the wing of the plane and forced a re-route to Greenland. They admitted later that drinking the airplane bar dry was not the best of ideas, but hey, it was a 2hour flight!
After landing at a small airport in the middle of an ice plain, they happened to stumble across a hungry polar bear. Mistaking it for a local, they began asking the bear if it knew of a nice place to stop for the night. A tussle, a fight and an almighty chase later, they found themselves at the North Pole, battered, bruised and all hope fading.
Then, just over the crest of the next glacier, they spotted a Bass sign glimmering through the frosty sunset. Hopes raised, they trekked another mile through icy winds and snowy plains to find a homely local pub set in the middle of the frozen Arctic. But just as they thought their luck had peaked, they spied a fresh delivery of Badgers Champion Special Ale being hooked up to draught. Result!
It's not known how many nights they spent at the pub, but their safe arrival back home coincided with the Great Arctic Circle beer shortage of 1963!
Breaking NewsThere is now video footage of Liquefy's adventures, which will be going through processing very soon, so watch out You Tube, you're about to get chugged!
Liquefy are taking a festive break, but watch out for a holiday season blog update which will bring some seasonal fun and reflect at the highs and lows of Liquefys year. Have fun peeps!
