In the mid to late 1300's no one undertsood what microbs were. There was no understanding to what was happening. There for there was no cure for the plague. No that we have better sciences and a better understanding, there is not only a cure for the bubonic plague, It is completely whiped out. The one last bit of it is in a vile in georgia. Sure rats are disqusting, But Come on theres more problematic controversies than rats here in detroit. Move on to a better subject please. If you wanna elminate the rat problem, Try cleaning up detroit, Walk around and pick up trash off the streets, ask for persmision to paint over the graffitti, Ask to repair the broken windows, contribute, dont complain.

i used to work at a wine dist. in one of the ol rundown wharehouses of mt.elliot n I94.

them rats were huge. my boss wanted me to put traps and poison but we only would catch the young rats, the bigguns are too smart. I once saw a Humngus Albino Rat easily 12lbs! Big rats in the D! as the developement spreads maybe they will swim to canada!.

One can't help but wonder why the stray cat and dog population hasn't chowed down in the bumper crop of rats. Do they know something we don't?..

I used to live on Grand River and Griswold, in Capital Park. I never saw any rats. Then again, maybe even the rats wouldn't go to a place like that....

Just give them a sandwich or some pocket change and they go away.
