I believe that you shouldn't want anything from life because we already have life. We are here to contribute to life because one way or the other, everything we obtain stays here long after we are gone.
It is good to be spontaneous, however, life has so many mishaps that it is good to strive for a goal that you believe will make you happy and ultimately contribute to life. Example: Getting married and having children is a contribution (that is one of our purpose here). Therefore, even though love will come at it's time and when it is right; you should work a bit on trying to find it before your boobs are sagging and you are no longer as attractive as you were 15 years ago.
It is true that you may plan your life but its turns could lead you somewhere else. However, working for a goal can make every transition easier. When you leave your house with no clue of where you might end up, you might end up nowhere. You might end up back home without a clue of why you stepped out in the first place. We are not wondering souls, we are souls with the capacity of building our own future and a better future for those who we leave behind.

You never know what's around the next corner, who can plan for the unexpected?
I believe everything happens for a reason, looking at the bigger picture. People put so much pressure on themselves and others to be this-and-that, to succeed, to be rich, famous, to be 'someone' .....important. But each individual is special anyway.

Live long and prosper, and practice small, random acts of kindness daily!
