This bank holiday turned out to be a manic but very enjoyabe weekend despite the wet weather.
Saturday started with the usual shopping but this time I didn't have to take my mum as she was in london so it was just Barry, me and Jamesy. BLISS!! I got a lay in and we just did what we wanted too. I just couldn't be bothered to go to asda so I decided to do my main shop at Lidals on Sunday. I spent the afternoon browsing for a pressy for my mate and in the evening Barry and I went out for a few drinks, nothing heavy just a nice evening.
Sunday I went to finish the shopping and in the afternoon we had a great ride despite the rain. In the evening I drove myself, Sharon and the two Daves down to join Maria's team in their joint investigation and Beltane celebration at Knowlton Church. A 12th century ruin that stands in the middle of a henge. It is on an ancient pagan ritual ground so we thought if we dressed up in pagan clothes and did a ritual and played medieval music then the spirits may come out to play. They didn't but it was a beautiful evening and one that I will remember for the rest of my life. Below is a picture Dave w took of me in my ritual clothes.
Monday was another blissfull lazy day and we spent it watching tv and then took James and Erica to the circus. I thought James may not like it but he really got into the spirit of things and joined in cheering and clapping. He got a bit of a face on him when he realised he couldnt have a go on the trampolene but apart from that he loved the whole thing. We got a chinese for tea but the weekend caught up with me and I crashed and burned about 8ish on the settee and woke up still there at 4am this morning.
