Friday - I picked up the kiddos around 4pm. We high-tailed it home where we put on costumes. My little guy was a Pokemon Pikachu while my oldest son was his Pokemon Trainer, "Red"...although everyone called him "Ash" all night. My daughter was originally supposed to be "Claire" from the TV show "Heroes", but the Hannah Montana wig put up a good fight. She was dressed in a Blue River Valley cheerleading outfit, so we told everyone she was beat up by Monroe Central Cheerleaders (she had fake blood on her forehead, neck and knee). We got into town around 5:30pm and hit main street south of the railroad tracks. Angie met us and we went down by the old neighborhood (south Mulberry). That side of town was pretty much dead, so we went out to Wolf's Wooded Acres. I ordered a Pizza King pizza while the older two hit north Main street and north Plum street. We came back home, divided the candy and looked it over while we had our pizza. Then, my mom came and picked them up to go visit relatives.
Angie and I loaded up the DJ equipment and went into Farmland to the Cultural Center. The event was for
Historic Farmland as they celebrated the year by having a party and giving away $5,000! We played from 9pm - 1am. Fun was had by all :-)
Saturday - Angie helped me with the second DJ gig of the weekend. This time it was held at the Hickory Hills Golf Course for Jennifer Drew's Halloween Party. We got there close to 8pm and was playing music at 8:30pm to about 2am (that is if Daylight Savings didn't take effect). It was around 5 hours of entertainment even if the clock read 1am :-) Again, a good time was had by all and the costumes were great.
Sunday - Angie and I went into Muncie to buy me a new jacket. My old jacket finally lost it's zipper and had to be retired. We hit the mall, Kohl's, a hardware store, Texas Roadhouse and the mall again before we went to the movies. We watched "
Saw V". Another great movie in the series. After that, we stopped into Marsh for some groceries, came home, took a walk, ate dinner and watched more of "The Cult of Cartman".
