hello friends, how goes it?  welp here’s the deal, i want to tour, but i am not on a label, i do not have a car, and i am basically poor.  however, once i able to start heading out on the road, i would love to know where are the best places to play, basically where do you go to see shows.  i know i asked all of this information from you last summer and i compiled a list, but a month or so ago my computer decided to end itself and left me without my big list.  i also know that i could go back a look up all of the messages/comments that you all left me, but to be honest, i don’t really have the time to do that, especially right now.   so i think it would be much easier if we could start over and you leave some info as a reply to this post.  thanks so much and sorry if this was a little long.  please leave names of venues/cities/states/contact info/etc.  below.  thanks again and i hope all is well.

- brendan

ps.  currently i’m looking to play as much as i can in the midwest, so if you can help out with setting up a show, promoting a show, or anything else, that would be wonderful.  also check out the street team page for other ways to help out and feel free to join.

Hey man,

If you make your way to La Crosse, WI there is this venue called "The Warehouse" that tends to do anything from crazy death metal to Acoustic Folk Music. So it's all over the place. If for some reason you do end up this way then I'd love to open for ya.

Take care man.

If you're interested in coming to Omaha Nebraska, there are some various smaller venues like Sokol Undereground/Auditorium, Slowdown, etc. ; http://www.onepercentproductions.com/ might give you some more information on who to contact and such. :)

well, if you happen to make it out to Portland, Oregon I Highly Highly reccomend the Crystal Ballroom/Lola's room (http://www.mcmenamins.com/index.php?loc=2&category=Location%20Homepage) its awesome. it has a floating floor so that it moves with the people. quite a great experience. There is also the Aladdin theater (http://www.aladdin-theater.com/) its quite cool too.

Charlotte, NC is a growing city especially referring to the music scene. The local music scene is growing and more and more cool bands are passing through to play at some pretty cool spots. I'm not sure what you are looking to get paid to play, but I work at a few bars in the city and we always have live music (acoustic or full bands) play and the pay varies, but if you can get yourself here, I can definitely help. Good luck and let me know if I can do anything for you. Here are some very cool venues in Charlotte, NC & a few bands that played at each.

Amos southend- G love, Moses Mayfield, Pete Yorn, Chris Daughtry
Tremont Music Hall- G love, slightly stupid, New Found Glory, Switchfoot, Third Eye Blind
Visulite- G love, Citizen Cope, Noises 10, Galactic

I know these are all bands that are on labels, but all three are very cool places to see live music. Again, let me know if I can help...
