My job at Image is to sell books. I love comics and love talking about comics. Other people's comics.

FULL COLOR is available for order now and I gotta sell my book. However, I'd much rather shut up and work. This business is small and frankly creators have to promote their own work. I'm terrified about how I'll be perceived in the process of promoting. I stand by the voice of my work. My shilling voice? I'm not so sure about. I summarize other people's work all the time. It's my day job. Summarizing my book? FULL COLOR in particular?

"Well, it's about this awesome lady, who's suicidal and out for revenge. But dude, she's so cool. Steve McQueen cool. Her name is Boom. Um. Her best friend wears a cat head? Oh! Bill Clinton's in it! But it all makes sense. It's very plot driven and not some nonsensical formalist experiment. But it is dynamic. Oh and despite all the morbidity, it's quite funny and sorta optimistic. Sorta."

Like I said, a nightmare. I cannot wait to be finished with promoting this book and back in the lab cooking up comic book goodness.

Oh and blogging is supposedly a good promotion tool which is what's driving me here. Does this even work? Do I need to "introduce myself" here? People connect this way. I read blogs and I'd like for this blog to be something meaningful in some way. On the other hand, does writing in a blog dilute the creative urge? I think it might. Hmm.

Anyhoo. I'm going to try it out for a month and see if I dig it. I'll just write my way through it. If I make an ass out of myself then so be it. I'll just delete it.

Oh I uploaded new pics. I'd love to hear what y'all think.
