The Uberman Manifesto

We human beings are capable of much more than we have showcased thus far in our existence. The limit to our Power is something neither of us can ever comprehend. Whether there even is a limit is something to be questioned.

Most human beings follow what we call a "herd mentality". Those who stray from the herd are chastised, pointed at, and made to feel entirely uncomfortable until they either rejoin, or become so revered for their unique and forward thinking, that they begin to form a herd of their own. Unfortunately, the latter is rarely the case.

The "herd mentality" is meant to be overcome. It no longer serves us like it did 40,000 years ago when we were hunter-gatherers. We live in a new world now, however, many of our habits and instincts are still tied down to our pasts, whether 5 years ago, or 40,000.

However, there are those few amongst us who see things as they ought to be, and strive valiantly to anoint themselves, and their environment, into a product of their limitless vision. These people step out into the arena, where their every act is watched and scrutinized. Where uncertainty begets a pain too unbearable for the masses to withstand. Where there every action, from moment to moment to moment, is a battle for life and death.

Even more so incredible, is that these few individuals are willing to risk all for the sake of the enhancement of humanity. Quite the contrary to the average individual, whose sole desire is his own comfort, and though not incapable, is yet unwilling to create anything beyond oneself.

Enter The Uberman.

The Uberman is he, whom in striving to reach his highest potential, is willing to endure the fire, and seeks to burn away the cravings of his animal impulses, discard the remains of his wild & undisciplined mind, and enhance the efficiency of his body, so as to use it as a smoothly running vehicle for is ever-expanding soul.

Have you heard the calling of your soul? The one that says that you are capable of much more than you are demonstrating. Have you ever strived to be something greater, for the sake of helping those you love deeply, rise Phoenix-like above their own mediocrity? Have you ever loved an idea, a world shifting, cataclysmic idea, more than life itself?
Then you have heard the call of God, begging you to wake-up, and live like the divine being that you are.

All of us have the power to change the world. At some point in our lives, we have all heard the call. Which one of you is willing to escape the poison of your impulses, disregard the vilification of your peers, and become something hitherto never seen before?

Enter the Uberman.

The time for talking has long since passed. You Now have the Power to move the world.

5 minutes from now, the ones who won't, will be the ones still sitting.

Oh God, it annoys me to no end when people give me that "it's in our nature" schpiel as an excuse for anything stupid. It's like.. they dismiss the fact that we have developed the power to choose and henceforce won't take responsibility for their actions. Peasants.

I would love to rule the earth with you but I'd hate to become a spectacle, because I feel weak with exposure. I will work in the shadows.

Actually this is not my own work, but was expressed so eloquently I decided not to butcher it with a re-write
I am disgusted with mankind on the whole, their apathy and consumerism, the ability to pass off their underachieving and lack of ambition as 'Gods chosen path  for me'  has become a disease, a fatal, rampant, infection for which I fear a cure may never be found.

MANKIND

You are living in a veil of lies, you must take control of your own destiny, and be responsible for your own fallibilities. There is no God to hold your hand or protect you, you forge your own destiny.
The time is near.........

The rights a man arrogates to himself are related to the duties he imposes on himself, to the tasks to which he feels equal. The great majority of men have no right to existence, but are a misfortune to higher men.'  Nietzsche

AMEN, Sister!!!

I LIVE by these words.

And these:

"However fiercely opposed one may be to the present order, an old respect for the idea of order itself often prevents people from distinguishing between order and those who stand for order, and leads them in practice to respect individuals under the pretext of respecting order itself." ~~Antonin Artaud

"Hell is of this world and there are men who are unhappy escapees from hell, escapees destined ETERNALLY to reenact their escape." ~Antonin Artaud

WE WILL NEVER FOLLOW!! Love the fuck out of you woman!!!!!!

Artaud ~ A fantastic example to illustrate my point.

Artaud was one of those people who dared to break away from the herd. The price he paid for sharing his inner visions with us?

Ostracised by his peers, publicly ridiculed, and addicted to Laudanam, Artaud was to have frequent nervous breakdowns, cuminating in his interrment in five asylums and endless rounds of electroshock treatments Anyone who reads Artaud will realise that here was a man who heard the calling of his inner soul, and was vilified and driven to paroxysms of inner torment by those too frightened to explore their own capabilities.

You see what you who are unenlightened do to the people who try to reveal the truth of your self inflicted suppression to you? You are not only foolish but are responsible for a society were five year old girls are concerned about their weight, but are anaesthetised by the media into making them want McDonalds at the weekend. Your rejection of  anyone who doesn't 'toe the line' means that some of  those who should be considered great thinkers and innovaters are considered mentally unstable, but don't worry we have drugs for that sort of thing so take comfort in the fact that no one is going to upset your cosy little existance, living in the hive mind.

I take comfort myself in the fact that my eyes are open. I am not linked to the hive, and my what I can achieve in my life is not dictated to me by others, but only by the constrains I put upon myself. I feel power whilst you feel emasculated.....I put it to you that you are the ones that are mentally unstable, but you have the drug of television and political spin telling you it's ok.........you make me want to vomit blood, you are so  needy and insecure and weak. This is what you are leaving as a legacy for your children.

Thats right Cenda...we will NEVER follow, for we have already taken a peek in Pandoras Box!!!

How clever is the universe to split us at birth and place us on opposite sides of the earth so we can conduct our Industrial Revolution of  Mental Terrorism in a pincer manouvre.

Love you too my soul sister!!!!

Artaud is the MAN. A shining example of perseverance in the oppressed, traditional, and closed minded world. His "insanity" is the progressive sanity of the present & future. He is present in people like us: representing the power of the free thinker. It all begins there; in thought we are safe to plan the big escape from societal prison. Action is not so difficult... that first step, the initiation to break the chains is the most difficult of all. Learn to throw the effective mind bomb, & the rest will follow easily. Therein lies a happiness that only freedom could create. We MUST stop believing what governments and media want us to believe. If you don't like how the government affects the quality of your life- then say so. You were BORN FREE. Never forget. We MUST start investigating unknown subjects for ourselves, as human error will one day kill us all. We MUST listen to our inner child, and take that chance every now and again. We MUST possess the courage to live independently, so that we inspire strength in our children: our FUTURE. You may not think that little ol' you could make a difference, but a collective effort of 100,000 little ol' yous will make fucking waves!!!! Bet!!

We were separated at birth, no doubt, because we are dangerous together!!

***funny piece of info:*** "Thats right Cenda...we will NEVER follow, for we have already taken a peek in Pandoras Box!!!" My stripper name was Pandora back in the day LMGDAO HAHAHAHAHAHA

The trouble with mass awakenings is that for the individual to remain thus, he needs to be surrounded by those of herd mentality. It is only then that he can strive to achieve something that everyone else is too disinterested to act on. If everyone tried to achieve the same goal, it would become a race which in turn would defeat the individuals purpose again. Much like the glorious Third Reich, people should be segregated, although not necessarily by race, but by having the will to achieve something other than existance. Those who show lack of interest in raising mankind from the rotting cancerous state it is in today should languish sub-human at the bottom, forgotten to time whereas those with the will-to-power should remain glorious at the top, the masters of degenerate vermin,

Ah, but imagine our world WITHOUT the herd, & what a progressive state of being we would all enjoy. Such fine line minds cannot embrace the concept of universal adeptness. Our existence is far to complex for all to pursue the same goal, with realized freedom comes heightened intellect and boundless creativity. Let the turbulence lie in the battle of the right and left brain LOL;)
I think your strong point is found in the inevitability of the birth of the sloth, wherein an educational segregation is most likely a good idea;)
Fuck Yeah!!

In the case of a mass awakening, there will still always be leaders of men, innovaters, ponderers, inventors, artists, politicians. Some people are more content to follow the herd and look to others for inspiration and succour. This in itself is not a bad thing, what is important is to have the freedom to explore the possibility that with some self belief and some knowledge you can rise above the constrains previously self inflicted and become  more than you once were.

He that humbles himself looks aloft because he wishes to become exaulted, And I look down for I AM exaulted. ~ Nietzsche (again I know sorry)

I think Nietzsche meant this in affectionate terms. A man may be in the gutter, but is rich in spirit as long as he looks to the stars.

I mean are we, the people who are participating in this blog thread, not at this moment looking aloft to the stars?

Those with apathy remain in the gutter, waiting for the abyss to stare back at them. It is to these people my vitriol is directed.

I think it's more than that. It's not a case of wanting to be different and lead others who won't disband and thus getting no satisfaction out of the little who stray.

Well, personally, it's not. I want to be happy and communicate, someone to share my visions even if they are false but because we are so subject to our own I feel isolated, and putting myself out there will make me feel exposed and subject to misjudgement. People don't realise that's what they're doing every single time, and they are being fed material to do it with. They enjoy it, as a human being we are vulnerable to mental trickery and it takes a lot of power to transcend all that. I don't have many inhibitions or many desires and it makes me enjoy life a little less than I believe others do. But it's calm, lonely, non-enjoyment where you feel youre missing out on being fulfilled, EVEN if youre not really! Like the nerd that gets bullied in school.

When it come to world affairs, violence and religion, there is nothing *I* can do unless others wake up and the system stops being corrupt. But at least I am on guard and waiting. Gathering knowledge and harnessing it which is better than nothing.

Like I said previously there are many different roles can be adopted in the scenario of the Uberman. People who do not seek the limelight are just those who recognise where they are best utilised. If your strength comes from the shadows....so be it.....what is important is that it comes.

The Antichrist – 1895

Nietzsche states :-

--Let us look each other in the face. We are Hyperboreans--we know well enough how remote our place is. "Neither by land nor by water will you find the road to the Hyperboreans": even Pindar , in his day, knew that much about us. Beyond the North, beyond the ice, beyond death--our life, our happiness...We have discovered that happiness; we know the way; we got our knowledge of it from thousands of years in the labyrinth. Who else has found it?--The man of today?--"I don't know either the way out or the way in; I am whatever doesn't know either the way out or the way in"--so sighs the man of today...This is the sort of modernity that made us ill,--we sickened on lazy peace, cowardly compromise, the whole virtuous dirtiness of the modern Yea and Nay. This tolerance and largeur of the heart that "forgives" everything because it "understands" everything is a sirocco to us. Rather live amid the ice than among modern virtues and other such south-winds! . . . We were brave enough; we spared neither ourselves nor others; but we were a long time finding out where to direct our courage. We grew dismal; they called us fatalists. Our fate--it was the fullness, the tension, the storing up of powers. We thirsted for the lightnings and great deeds; we kept as far as possible from the happiness of the weakling, from "resignation" . . . There was thunder in our air; nature, as we embodied it, became overcast--for we had not yet found the way. The formula of our happiness: a Yea, a Nay, a straight line, a goal...

Fellow Hyperboreans….

I am tired of the isolation that my thinkings confine me to, must we stay amid the ice?

Yes Kyle I agree, we must walk among the herd in order to become exaulted. They are such an inspiration to never be one of them.

The trouble is they have control.

They are the governments, churches and media.

I can no longer tolerate, living under laws I find abhorrent, an Orwellian nightmare of thoughtcrime and putrid propaganda.

And note how long ago the passage was first published….112 years ago

Has anything changed?

And the Internet

Mans summation of knowledge at our fingertips, and still they do not wish to lift the veil of lies.

"twaddle, rubbish, and gossip is what people want, not action, the secret of life is to chatter freely about all one wishes to do and how one is always being prevented, and then do nothing"- Kierkegaard.

Unfortunately most of my friends are dumbfucks who try to be funny about every damn situation. I will live in your internet brain for a while.

You know, I have this horrible recurring dream where I am out of breath, about to die, emotionally battered and in total discomfort crawling up a huge fleet of stairs (or mountainside covered in broken glass in some cases) to glory with all my friends laughing at the struggle from the bottom or skipping up past me. It felt like a bad experience with cocaine, It's a calling!

Alas...... This is my original point illustrated perfectly, society likes to parcel up free thinkers in a neat little box. If they become problematic, label them schizophrenic, make them an object of ridicule, dose them with Lithium, but don't anyone actually listen to what they have to say, heaven forbid!!

Yet another one of those quirky guys from 'The Problem Being' wanders into the debate :)

This is essentially a Nietzcheian perspective, isn't it? The idea of the Uberman as one who disregards societal norms and values in pursuit of a higher goal.

Ah, alas poor Nietzche - the cruel irony of having your 'anti-herd' 'individuality-is-everything' philosophy appropriated by the Nazis, the ultimate herd organisation, means that you will forever be tarnished with the same Fascist brush as Wagner.

Unfortunately, while if the Uberman works truly for the benefit of society and humanity as a whole, his or her efforts are laudable, is there not also the danger of Hubris - an amoral 'super' human who believes that darwinianism and eugenics are the way forward for humanity and thus exterminates everyone with an IQ below a certain level is certainly not an individual to be lauded.

Much as I am loathe to risk Godwin's Law by drawing comparisons with a certain Austrian, could it not be argued that he was, by this definition given, above an 'uberman'?

As long as we agree with the direction, we are generally happy with someone disregarding societal safeguards such as morality - I am just asking would we be equally as happy if someone did this who we do not agree with - and whose direction might well threaten us as a whole?

Just my 2c ;)

Welcome Divine.

You raise some good points and although this IS essentially a Nietzschien debate ( it is titled the Uberman Manifesto and I am known to be Nietzsches bitch) I welcome the chance to become enlightened with other peoples perspectives. After all the essence of debate is to contemplate opposing views and discuss, a one sided view is the view of a fool.

How would we overcome this problem?
What are the flaws in Nietzshces philosophy?
If the Uberman Manifesto is to be followed 'to the letter' could we then condemn a man for his own will to power, no matter how amoral we might think it is?

As for the 'Austrian'
Nowhere in Mein Kamph is Nietzsche mentioned
And Hitler was appalled by Atheism and often berated the faithless

We were convinced that the people needs and requires this faith.
We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement,
and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.

-Adolf Hitler, in a speech in Berlin on 24 Oct. 1933

Hitler and Netzscen philosophy were often opposed and, his main source of inspiration was more likeley to be Schopenhauer.

The Nietzsche/Nazi symbiosis was born out of the Society of Thule of which members later became Nazis, NOT from Hitler himself

I would just like to take this opportunity to state that I am NOT Anti-Sematic.

No, I completely agree with you - Nitzchean philosophy is completely opposed to Nazi ideology. However, in the majority of the public's minds the two are interchangable - more to a misunderstanding and/or superficial reading of Nitzche than anything else. That's more what I meant, however it was more of an asside.

More point was more along the lines that, if you wish people to ignore the accepted morality and or societal safeguards for those things they believe will advance humanity, would you still support this view if the person who was persuing this course's views were abhorrent to you.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, one cannot really pick and choose which people should and shouldn't be allowed to behave in this fashion as it completely undermines the argument. We either support the view for all or for none. Anything else and we set ourselves up as arbitors of morality ourselves - a position I believe no one is qualified to take.

In my opinion, the risks inherrant in this ideological and behavioural free-for-all are too great. Society, for all its ills, does provide a degree of social normalisation. The alternative, True Anarchy, is a particularly unpleasant one - I don't really fancy living in a world where Arnold Schwarzenegger would be considered better than Albert Einstein simply because he could beat him up and steal all his things.

These are essentially what I view as the flaws in the Ubermensche theory - amorality is enticing and liberating and, if people have the strength of character not to rape and murder their fellow humans just because they can, or because it advances their position. Unfortunately, with amorality and freedom comes the risk of detachment and hubris. For the 1% of the population who could flourish in this environment and actually acheive positive things, the other 99% would either be crushed underfoot or fall by the wayside.

Look at the Ceasars in ancient Rome - particularly Caligula and Nero Ceasar for excellent examples of Ubermensches gone very bad indeed. :)

I realised last night that I had interpreted your comment incorrectly as you did not forge a link between Nietzsche and Hitler. My apologies, but still an excellent opportuinity to set the record straight on this particular association, for anyone not versed in this particular subject, who may be reading this blog and think I am some kind of Neo-Nazi.

In my original post, not my own work as I have previously stated (credit where credit's due) it reads :-
Have you heard the calling of your soul? The one that says that you are capable of much more than you are demonstrating. Have you ever strived to be something greater, for the sake of helping those you love deeply, rise Phoenix-like above their own mediocrity? Have you ever loved an idea, a world shifting, cataclysmic idea, more than life itself?
Then you have heard the call of God, begging you to wake-up, and live like the divine being that you are.

Here I feel the writer of this piece clearly states his objective is not for us to create dictators or for Will to Power to benefit the individual only, but to assist those you love to 'rise phoenix-like like above their own mediocraty'

Can we not as intelligent individuals find the capabilty to balance morals whilst still retaining the right to explore and implement the concept of the Uberman?

Oh I think we, as intelligent individuals, most certainly could. However, with respect the majority of my fellow humans, I do not have such faith in them as intelligent individuals and capable of thriving in such an atmosphere. I am more than a little misanthropic I am afraid :)

Regrettably, that would leave us in the somewhat Machavellian situation of a 'Prince' or 'Princes' ruling over the uneducated masses - rather like T describes. At least, however, this would be a true meritocracy, however.

It would also have a dangerous tendency to, as I mentioned previously, give those in power the hubris that would have us looking on our subjects as little more than toys.

To use an old line "Power tends to corrupt. And absolute power corrupts absolutely..."

Do you trust yourself enough that in that situation you would not develop those tendencies? I myself, regrettably, do not...
