Hey, I haven't really blogged for a while, I can't seem to find time to do this shit.. but some things have been bothering me. There are few things in life that I love, one of which being Hiphop.

I love how someone can send me such a complex message in a two minute track. I love how an emcee is able to leak his heart into his/her lyrics and get the point across that otherwise would probably not be understood. Hiphop to me, is almost a totally seperate way of conversing with eachother, but it has the capability of being much more powerful and influential...

Now, this leads me to my annoyances. I can not fathom what is going on in peoples' minds these days.. are people this simple and shallow? Who in the world is purchasing, much less ENJOYING the garbage that the music industry is delivering?

It has come to the point where, I HATE you if you have bought a T-Pain or Akon album, and were satisfied. I HATE you if you continue to support people like Mike Jones or Flo Rida. Eminem is on my shitlist too, how fucking DARE you shit on the very artform that helped you afford the good life that you are now living? People nowadays are simply cookie cutter, boring, clones. It's literally tiring hearing the garbage on the radio. If I turn on the radio near you, you better make fucking sure there is nothing sharp in my reach or you are in severe danger.

I can't believe how someone can make something so degrading and unintelligent, and these people eat it up like it's the most insightful thing they've ever heard. I mean, they take stupid ass fucking shit like "Drop it like the soap" and kids go fucking wild. How about instead of listening to "Shake it like an Etch-a-Sketch", you listen to something that MEANS something. I remember when people used rap as a way to speak to children, or vent their feelings. Now it's simply halfassed, one syllable rhyming, shitty content having, autotune using faggots.

There are people out there that are downright geniuses with their lyricism. The things that are said contend with the best book writers of all time. What happens to these people? They get ignored, while John FUCKING Cena goes out there and shits on the entire artform. I was speechless when I saw him go on WWE and bring rap battling "to the ring".

"FUCK OFF." -Erik Foreman, MySpace.com

People like John Cena are what's wrong with this world. He takes people's quotes like "You can't see me", which has been used for years on the rap scene... and plasters it on T-Shirts, on his music videos and merchandise like he invented it. John Cena is one with the ass cheek, and can burn in hell with Chris Crocker for all I care.

People ask me "Why do you care so much?". Because I am what you call an individual. I get tired of asking someone "Do you like _____?" and they answer with "I don't know". How can you possibly not know? Music is not like biking, horseback riding, or painting. Everyone has to have an opinion on music. I don't see how some people can stand to just listen to
anything when these people are literally eating our money, and shitting the same fucking four songs back in our ears.

In closing, this is where it stands. If you continue to say Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive, do not talk to me. If you say "Flo Rida has some hot lyrics", you better fucking run. If you ask me "Do you think Paul Wall is a good rap singer?", I will give up my freedom to murder you. I am done playing with the public. Anyone who knows real hiphop, I respect. Thanks for reading this.

PS: John Cena, go to fucking hell.

damn bro...i understand your anger...and i used to feel the same way...but...most people arn't even resourceful enough to find good music...so all they do is like what's on the radio...or mtv..or b.e.t.

this always an interesting argument...and you're not wrong...at all....but at the same time...i know more people who have come to appreciate real/good hip hop...by being introduced to it...through mainstream rap.....than people who have found real/good hip hop on their own.

at the same time...i know almost as many people who won't even give hip hop a chance BECAUSE of what's on the radio.

all i'm saying is..instead of condemning people for their tastes...maybe you could expose them to something better?

but perhaps you've tried this..and you're frusterated because it's been thrown back in your face by people who really don't get it.

anyways..im just talkin..stay up eric.

True words there. But about eminem... theres no denying that he is skilled, but he definitely did fall off when encore came out. still, you say he's shittin on the artform? depends what that means, but some people just like to have fun with hip-hop, and its hard to argue with that. still i dont like how eminem switched lyrics for a southern accent and 50 cent friendship.
fuck that, but maybe he'll come back strong with the new album

the john cena thing is just a gimmick in the wwe. people found it funny so they kept it up, and that includes his "you cant see me" gestures. the funny thing is, john cena isnt actually that bad, ive heard some good rhymes from him, but its still easy to call him a sell-out.

pretty much.....i've never understood the relentless stupidity of people

some people just dont understand words in general.....i'll say a pretty simple metaphor to some people, and they literally dont understand it, even after i've broken it down.....these are the people that do NOT care at all about the lyrics in any song.....they dont pay attention, or comprehend any words, they just hear a voice and some instruments, and if they(or theyre friends) like it, they bump it.....theyre generally simple, stupid, ugly people
