Who Gives Kudos:

I've been busy getting ready for my big move. I've lived in the same condo since 1984! I was just a little kid when I moved in here. Then when I grew up, my mom moved out and I stayed behind and rented from her. So you can bet I've accumulated a lot of stuff over the past 25 years. Plus I've always been kinda sentimental with crap, so I've saved lots of dumb stuff that I really don't need. But yeah, I've been doing my best to get rid of stuff so I'll have a relatively light load for the drive up to Portland in mid March.

There's talk of having a "going away party" in conjunction with my friend Chris' birthday on or around March 1st. So maybe pencil that in your calendar if you think you might like to see me off. I'll likely post more details when/if things firm up.

As I say, I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff. Some stuff I've got up on Craigslist right now: most of my vinyl collection, an old skateboard I never really used, a file cabinet, a PlayStation, some board games.
I also have a lot of stuff to give away.. some sports stuff (assorted balls, golf clubs, etc), some folding pool chairs, board games, plants, a few CDs left. Anybody want anything? (I'm specifically asking San Diego people if they want any of this stuff, so they could theoretically come pick it up.. since shipping can be pricey plus I need boxes for packing my stuff.)

Anybody still use a VCR? I've got a bunch of old VHS tapes you're welcome to take.. some Mystery Science Theater 3000 tapes, a few movies, and some various cool stuff I've taped off TV over the years.
Audio tapes.. anybody still have a cassette player in their car? I've got some tapes you can have.

And soon I'll have some furniture available (desk, bookshelf, table, coffee table, lazy-boy, tv, stereo, speakers).. and kitchen stuff (plates, glasses, silverware, containers, etc).. and most likely some of my musical instruments. I just put my bass amp on Craigslist. [I was thinking of selling my bass, but I might have to hang on to it for sentimental reasons.] I also have my first-ever bass to part with, if anybody wants it for free.. It doesn't work anymore, but it might be able to be repaired, who knows. I also have a crappy acoustic guitar I almost never play which I could part with for $5 maybe. And I'll most likely sell at least one of my electric guitars. I also have an extra 4-track recorder. Maybe some guitar pedals to let go of.
So yeah, feel free to let me know if you're interested in anything. Again, a lot of this stuff I'd be willing to let friends pick up for free, or at least at a big discount off the going rate.

Oh, and I'm in the market for a GPS to help navigate my long drive and make my way through a new city. Can anybody help me out?

As far as Fiberoctopus news.. with the exception of a weird Christmas song, I haven't really recorded anything in months. But I've got a couple new songs in the works that I'm excited about, so hopefully I'll get around to recording them one of these days.

well, thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Wow, your going to be a busy bee. You should start having some garage sales. Let me know if you have a big farewell bash, I'm there.
