We are asking people to enlighten us as to what band we remind them of.  Do you think we sound like Godspeed!?  Probably not, but if you could drop a band name or two in our blog comments, it would really help us fill out our American Idol application... oops, did I say American Idol?  I meant Anarchist Anti-Idol... please help, I'd feel really hopeless if no one comments :-( WOrdS, Lance Conrad p.s.  Saying that we sound completely original is a flattering compliment, but doesn't necessarily help describe ourselves to other people/press.

the first time i was ever asked to attend an alpha show ... it was explained to me that you sounded like Tool and Radiohead had a kid together ... and then that kid did some experimenting with LSD

... i don't completely agree with that logic ... but it was enough to say ... alright ... i'll go see these guys ...

i would definitely say that your sound has matured over the years ... and you've kept me as a fan the whole time ... and i'm picky ... so you're doing something right

I'd say your music reminds me of the sense of nostalgia one gets while recalling a dream you had that you're not quite sure was actually a dream wherein a musical blender from the mid '70's (made by the same people who made the "Lite-Brite") was used to create a chocolate-strawberry-caramel-banana milkshake with one cup of atmospheric Radiohead, three cups of electronic Radiohead, two tablespoons of Sigur Ros, a dash of Nine Inch Nails, a smidgen of Pink Floyd, a pinch of XTC, 13 mililiters of King Crimson, 2 to 3 pages of James Joyce's "Finnegan's Wake," 14 Marshall McLuhanisms, 6 Zen Koans, a half-gallon of dreamy positivity, a quarter-gallon of externally-imposed angst and 12 ice cubes made out of that magical stuff that happens between the notes during a John Cage prepared-piano piece....or something like that ... :-)
