Hey y'all.  Check out this month's edition of Performing Songwriter- the DIY section.  "Leaving Kansas" is one of the Top 12 picks.  Swell little review.  Ever since I started recording music, I've wanted to be included in this mag....

So, I guess it's worth mentioning that I've also been lucky enough to enjoy a large number of nice reviews in print over the past few months, and have been featured on Itunes, CMT.com, emusic, and Rhapsody, among various blogs, streaming online stations, and some indie radio around the country. 

But there's something about that review in PS that felt like a really big deal.  Like I finally reached some sort of a milestone I had wanted to reach for so long.  Like a mark of legitimacy.  Or something.

OK- now it's time to crawl back into my hole of almost total anonymity.

Let's hear it for the blind albino mole rat!

I'd also love to come up to Canada again. I went to Toronto years ago when my husband was shooting his first movie. It reminded me quite a bit of my hometown, Chicago. I loved the people- the energy. I just need to find an excuse to get up there. (Maybe a festival next year like NXNE or something.) Hmmmm.....

Thank you so much! I'm coming back to Chicago in early November to do a gig at Martyr's with Nicholas-- I'd love to hang with you then. We're thinking of turning it into a family trip too, so I could be in town for about a week or so. I'd LOVE to come see you sing too, if you're doing something around then.

Hey Holly. This is awesome. I'M SO JEALOUS. lol But my admiration for you and your music far outweighs my jealousy. I have a feeling you won't be stuck in that 'hole of anonymity' for very long.

I noticed you have a gig in Chicago coming up. My band may be doing a few gigs in that area sometime in Nov. and Dec. Maybe we'll finally bump into each other.
