Hey Carl,
I wonder if Jeff Taylor mentioned me to you. I was talking to him recently over at Pasadena Guitars and I was talking to him about maybe going back to my old haunts in Frankfurt again. He said you were playing Germany this summer. I haven't made up my mind, but my inquiries with friends (and an old girlfriend there) came up VERY positive. I haven't contacted anyone about gigs yet, BUT am really thinking that might be the ticket for me. I have come back from North Carolina (where I spent about a year gigging (4 new music jobs!) but saw them fall off one by one until last May as the economy started to droop. I had been Have been looking after my elderly father (who is now 82) here in La Canada since then.
I had a good thing going with Diedrich Coffee for the past three years with my booker calling me one her "top two musicians" UNTIL Starbucks bought them out. I find myself just getting along financially, although it is great to be in La Canada again. I talk to Chris Hauter every now and then, and his girl Annie is playing in a jazz stage band (chip off the old block!).
Thanks for the invite to the Potato. Please do not offended if you see me wearing fluorescent "Hearos" ear plugs. I am battling tinutus (as many of us are). Look forward to hearing that guitar and saying hi.
