Antsy Does Time by Neal Shusterman
When Anthony Bonano discovers that his friend Gunnar Umlaut may be dying soon he impulsively offers him a month of his own life and wins the affection of Gunnar's hot older sister and the race is on. Soon everyone is interested in increasing Gunnar's lifespan even as Antsy begins to doubt his diagnosis and Antsy is knee deep in the time trade, trying to juggle family, friends and two girlfriends while staving off imminent disaster. Another funny action packed title from the author of numerous teen thrillers and the related title The Schwa was Here.

Suck It Up by Brian Meehl
Morning McCobb is not your average Vampire. He doesn't have dark soulful eyes and you'll never catch him sparkling in a Northwestern rain forest. In point of fact, he looks more like an average teen. He's tall, skinny and (because he doesn't age) never going to change. He doesn't even drink blood, surviving instead on a special soy substitute. Not a great candidate for a stirring romance but just the type to play poster boy for the IVL the International Vampire League who have learned how to sublimate their bloodthirsty urges and now want to come out of the closet. That's how Morning ends up turning to mist on reality TV and introducing the hot rock group the Lycanthropes while the league works on getting their website up and running. Unfortunately, for Morning, the League aren't the only Vampires our there and some of the old hard liners have a price on his head.
Can an average teen, with an ordinary face and shaky superpowers defeat the dark Lords of the Night and get the girl? Find out for yourself when you read Suck It Up.
